With so many teams going through it makes the games a bit less exciting to watch. It's not like March Madness where you're one and done. The dancing will be over soon and we'll be there soon enough though.

It will be interesting to see if Norway can disrupt and what Sjögren has up his sleeve. If he's not stacking the back perhaps they will be looking to play more direct and up the tempo to see if it hampers the execution of the French.

01' 0-0 Thiney fk at arc top wide left, driven low and flat to endline 3-right, Le Sommer slides for it but can't keep it in.

02' 0-0 Thiney overlaps past Le Sommer down box left, ends up way offside at 5m mid-left, walking back slowly. Ball pings free, comes right to her :p she cannot resist, kicks it across mouth, wide right low.

03' 0-0 Bøe Risa slide-tackles from behind, Le Sommer faceplants at 31m mid-left. Foul, no card. Norway haven't gotten out of their own 1/3 yet.

06' 0-0 Thorisdottir misses an elementary pass up the left, too far for Minde, into near touch.

06' 0-0 Reiten dribbles to 24m wide left, rolls a cross to 15m mid-left, Renard clears into near touch.

07' 0-0 Diani dribbles out of her own wide right corner -- a comedic moment, a 2nd ball rolls onto the field. Stoppage, restart to France.

08' 0-0 Now Norway have France pinned in their back right -- France seem content to soak up the pressure.

09' 0-0 Norway chip over arc left for Herlovsen 1-v-1 on Mbock Bathy. Mbock Bathy heads toward 6-top left, Bouhaddi goes to collect, Herlovsen presses her and digs ball free, settles it at 2m wide left as Bouhaddi scrambles back. Nobody is in box to dunk a cross, Herlovsen counts to 3, finally crosses too far past 6-right and over endline.

10' 0-0 More comedy: FIFA subs in a new AR flag for a broken flag :D it detached from the rod :coffee: Apparently, they stash spare flags in the tunnel, each one wrapped with a rubber band ...

Very choppy first 10 minutes. Like they're playing in a downpour.

11' 0-0 Reiten crosses from 7m wide left to 6-top 1/4 left, Saevik is 1-v-2, low volley poke goes wide left low.

13' 0-0 Sævik presses Majri at midfield left touch, forces her to turn and go backward. Backpass pressured, Renard clears over endline right.

15' 0-0 Reiten right ck, inswings to 3m right, Engen glance-heads past left shoulder, off Majri, over crossbar.

15' 0-0 Reiten(?) left ck, to 6-top 1/4 right, Bouhaddi catches high.

19' 0-0 Majri backshields Sævik at arc top left touch, Sævik tugs her shoulders and hauls her down backward. Foul, warning.

19' 0-0 Henry fk at arc top left touch, to 11m 1/4 left, Renard(?) and defender collide aloft and both bounce down, ball bounces away to box top mid-right. Backpass to Diani at arc top mid-right, she shoots right foot low across mouth, it spins away wide left. Both teams are giving no quarter on these flat crosses into box, inviting and accepting stiff contacts to apply their own touches.

23' 0-0 Le Sommer to box top left, ball ripped away by Sævik -- but France promptly steal, play Le Sommer down mid-left to 6m, shot blocked away. The pace of ideas is bewildering

24' 0-0 France long switch down wide right, Diani collects and cuts inward to 12m mid-right. Diani goes vertical to 6m mid-right, ground cross to 6m center slightly behind Gauvin. One-touch right instep drag-behind gets no power, trickles goalward and Hjelmseth falls on it.

26' 0-0 Le Sommer scoops from ~circle top to 8m center, Gauvin back-heads a pop-up directly into Hjelmseth's chest. No mistakes yet.

Diani finding all kinds of space down the right. It's her game to lose.

France has been pouring on the pressure for the last 10+ minutes. Norway started well but is scrambling now....

29' 0-0 Graham Hansen cuts inside through 27m arc left 1-v-2, tries to split them with a through-ball and Renard blocks it away. Off that turnover, France chip perfectly into Diani's stride through 30m box right, 1/2 step ahead through box top right to 9m mid-right. Soft backpass rolls behind Gauvin up centerline, out to 15m left post, Bøe Risa taps it away from Le Sommer and Norway possess.

31' 0-0 Henry dribbles to midfield wide right box right, kicks long past box top right. Diani reads the bounce better, turns Minde and gets in behind her, to 6-top mid-right. Cross through 3m center bisects Gauvin's foot and Hjelmseth's glove diving, ball continues wide left. Diani is wrecking Norway's left flank, even better than Huth was for Germany vs. Spain.

I guess Saevik could have done much better than that, all alone at the edge of the box as she was.
