The Interlull is (soon to be) over, the Premier League is back!! Unfortunately, there were rumblings that some personnel didn't make it thru unscathed. First and foremost, Javi Gracia becomes the first manager of the season to be sacked, and previous manager Quique Sanchez Flores was immediately installed as his replacement. Honestly, I'm not all that versed on our injury situation, so I'll leave it to you all to fill in, however: There was word about Pepe being preemptively sent back to Arsenal from the Ivory Coast may be bad news, but it could also be good news, depending on the severity of the issue he's having. There was also word that Xhaka and Torreira may also be injured makes our midfield selection interesting. NBCSN has the game in the US, 11:30am ET, 8:30am PT. Come on You Gunners!!!
The US times posted are correct 11:30am ET, 8:30am PT. But the graphic at the top is wrong... the KO is 16:30 GMT. [Edit: I stand corrected... it's 16:30 BST which is 15:30 GMT... that's suitably confusing] As for the injuries, I heard on Arsecast that Xhaka came off for Suisse with a sore Achilles(?). If that's true that could definitely affect his season, if not just the next few weeks. They said nothing about Torreira, and I heard Guendouzi was unused for France. So I immediately hoped that we'd give Xhaka a breather and use "Torrdouzi" at the base of MF. However, I have just seen that Torreira was unused for Uraguay because of a muscle issue. No more clarity than that. I'm more bummed about Lucas than Granit. I had big hopes for our 5FT5 guy this season. I've been assuming it's a make-it-or-move-on season for him. Lastly, there's the little issue of it being the Danny Derby. I always liked him, even if he never quite realized his potential either with us or United. With any luck he'll continue to put off reaching that potential for another week. And Sokratis & Luiz damn well better not make it easy for him.
Our away kit looks identical to Watford's home kit so we sure won't be sportin that! For several reasons I'd pick red & white for this one. But I have not idea what the club will do.
Right you are. Thanks, I missed that subtlety. But what I don't understand is why would anyone list this match as 15:30 GMT when AFAIK all event times in the UK this time of year are listed in BST? (i.e. 16:30) Aren't they??
If this doesn't make you I don't know what to say!... Not that they're anywhere near playing at Vicarage Road but...
Yeah he looks like he's going whole hog in that photo. The other thing I liked about those photos is that 50% of the players are wearing all-black boots. Seriously, I like that retro trend.
Yeah, I noted his complete absence from the training photos the other day. It could be good news for Auba, who should get to play his preferred position. And long may he be productive in that role! Also probably good news for one of the youngsters like Nelson or Saka who should see more time?
Pretty sure Deeney's out due to recent knee surgery. I think we should be thankful for that. OTOH he's always got that innate ability to pick up a red card.
Anthony Taylor is refereeing our match, it should be a good one as it always is whenever he is officiating a match.
@NorthBank I just checked with Arsenal.com and indeed WE ARE donning our Red & White kit, our goalkeeper will be donning our green GK kit.

Lineup per Premier League Live... PEA Dani - Ozil - Pepe Xhaka - Duezy Kola - Sokra - Luiz - AMN Leno Have a feeling we will actually be 4-4-2 diamond or maybe 4-3-3 false 9 with Ozil at the false 9.
