We just played one of the most memorable games in World Cup history. I've never been more prouder of this team and of this sport than I am right now.. I'm shaking with pure joy.

Timmy and Beasley with two of the best US performances I've ever witnessed as an old-timer in the game. Two of our oldest, if not the oldest, played out of their minds today. I just want that to be noted, much respect from me.

HOpefully Belgium can take this momentum and beat Argentina who seemed to be lackluster.

We played well. If we kept our determination we don't even give up that second goal. Game change was Lukkau coming on in extra time. Our defense was gassed and he just bulldozer through them.

Yes its sad USA lost but the incredible feeling during the extra time and especially after the 1:2.... That's soccer!
And I think you won a lot of soccer fans in your country.

Well 2018 looks pretty promising. Yedlin was absolutely class, and green to get a goal in his first WC match? Amazing!

And I can't understand people who have to criticize right after such an nervebreaking match/end.

What use are all those great chances in the second half of extra time if you can't control the ball properly and finish properly? Wasted! Gutted!

Well, Argentina took about the same time but they beat a team ranked higher than the USA (Switzerland #6, USA #13). So my guess is on paper, even considering these last two games, Argentina is the favorite.

A better first touch from Clint on that last freekick would have been money...

US fans will. It ended up being a good game towards the end but that Belgium second goal was a killer. Belgium still a class above however there bad finishing will come back to haunt them against better opposition. I am disappointed at this result. And I am rooting for Costa Rica against the Diving Dutch. It should be a fun next few years in CONCACAF.

Belgium would utterly destroy your team. England has the spine of a fish. Get out of here gravedancer.

This is the first WC I actually got to watch since 1998. After 9/11, I was either deployed to some barren wasteland or training to deploy. I was lucky enough to watch Klinsmann play back in the day and now him being our coach, I thought the stars were lined up for us. He kinda disappointed me. Why keep one of your most talented players on the bench while the Belgians have their youngsters playing?

Anyways, stick around people. Our best days are yet to come. I am proud of these guys.

Chin up folks. This was a strong performance from the States. And we ended our campaign on a high note, with the last goal of the game from the future. Get your shades out.
