Acosta needs to stop crying so much. He spends so much time on the ground he’s not getting any benefit of the doubt.
This is the kind of game a coach likes--up by two but enough stupid mistakes he can rightly yell at them at halftime.
Have some compassion. One of those moronic jerk-offs may very well take his own life because of the no-call on Abubakar. And a genuine loss to the world of broadcasting it will be.
You noted "first ever save" and "in his career" (and nothing about the Crew). Hard to draw a different conclusion. As Dwight just noted, this is his 15th MLS game..... But "let's not bicker and argue about 'oo killed 'oo. This is supposed to be a happy occasion."
DC is allowing us to chase and pressure a lot. I worry about our stamina the last 10. 1 sub left and Pipa, Santos and Martinez all look like they will run out of gas.
Not sure how everyone feels about Neil and Dwight; in general, I like them a lot. But I’m kinda pissed off. I know it’s a simulcast, but COME ON. You’re on the RADIO too, guys. I was driving for 20 minutes, with no pre-knowledge of what was happening. In those 20 minutes, the time was mentioned twice, and the score was NEVER mentioned. Neil said something about DC’s goal scorer, so I knew they had at least one. Later, he said something about theCrew having a 2 goal lead; ok, 3-1?? 4-2?? When you listen to Paul Keels, regardless when you tune in, you’ll know the time and score within about 2 minutes. Every game. They had a friggin’ two minute conversation about Ritchie AMBOD Williams and RFK, for F’s sake !!! /end rant
Talie left with Tim around the 60th. She was done. We headed out of the section a little after the 80th. Boy did it sound loud. You never really hear it when you are in it quite like you hear it across the stadium. I love my fellow Crew supporters. Great group of folks.
Overall one of the best performances by our midfield I’ve seen. Pipa has some incredible plays tonight!
That's been par for the course with them, when I've heard them on the TV--and I feel the same way. Even on TV, you should give the score--the "bug" isn't always visible if you are not suing an HD tv and have the squarer picture frame.
Nationwide was sold out. Who decided a 6pm, mid-March kickoff was a good idea on a day where the CBJ had a 7pm home faceoff? Either it's another attempt to actively discourage people from showing up, or nobody checked, and they're completely stupid.
