Sissoko is just a tad off on his touches/passes but he's been getting in such great positions, he isn't all that far off from having a brilliant match.
I was thinking that. He has been positively invoked today. And that bit at the back was bad for Spurs. Lucky to not give up a goal.
not just the booking, but there were 2 or 3 fouls before that the ref didn't call that coulda been bookings as well. he was a bull in a china shop the last 10 minutes
Anyone know if Baldini is working at Everton? Seven new starters, £130m, and no chemistry. Seriously, it's like they looked what happened here in 2013-14 and said "hold my beer."
That was a walk in the park. With Dier pushed up to midfield (and Wanyama supposedly out for a few more weeks), Sanchez slotted into the back 3 much better than Wimmer (bit of an understatement there). Everton got their tactics really wrong - our guys had lots of space to do whatever they wanted pretty much all game.
had to go into work at 10am today. I could've watched it after getting off at 7, but simply couldn't wait to know the result - so I had a peek at work. great result ... i really would've enjoyed that.
yah I don't imagine sissoko doing as well against Dortmund. Dele would be a nice super-sub for that match
The guy is quick. And solid, and seemed to fit in well with Alde and Vert to boot. I think it was more the tactics than any specific chemistry. It was an very open and flowing match for the first 15 to 20 minutes, and had the ball bounced favorably once or twice, Everton could have had the lead. That said, after that, it was Spurs defense, and the ability of Trippier, and Davies in particular, to just pound the ball in from the wings. Dembele definitely, it was said during that match that Poch was resting him. I think Son as well. I wonder if he'll start Dele or Winks, knowing that Winks plays well with Dembele. I also imagine that Aurier will be in for Trippier, probably being a better defender.
