Concur with loss though other teams have got to think they will easily roll the Union and may play scrubs. As for the Union, even a blind hog gets lucky and finds an acorn every once in a while so outside chance the U surprise someone - I'd just prefer it be an east coast team.
This team just beat LA. We don't have our most creative player. If you're having trouble sleeping Saturday night, tune in.
One of the hottest teams in MLS that seemingly scores at will vs The Union with Chaco and Edu likely out and Nogueira and Barnetta likely still not in form? The Red Bull Open Cup game filled our annual allotment of "how the hell did they pull that off?!?!" matches. A win would probably qualify as a miracle. The pope would likely grant Jim sainthood in a few weeks. The will be no San Curtin. San Jose 4 - 1 Union. And if that happens, I won't really care. Whatever. Just win the cup. This must be Chaco's internal punishment: 639435212821237760 is not a valid tweet id Drive all the way up to Sellersville and be paraded in front off the public in some random pub. I'd rather just be spit on.
Don't sell your team short, my Quakes are going to be decimated with call ups and injuries so we're ripe for the picking. "The Earthquakes also are dealing with a central midfield without Godoy, Pelosi and Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi, who is out with a foot injury. Rookie Fatai Alashe still is recovering from a strained hamstring muscle, and practiced on the side Tuesday."
Quite the celebrity bonanza in Sellersville on Saturday, with "3 Redneck Tenors" playing the Sellersville Theater, and 2 Union expendables on parade at The Horse....
So it seems Barnetta is going to get to play centrally for the bulk of this match (rather than having to rotate out wide, back inside, out wide, back inside). This is supposed to be his "best" position so it will be a huge tell about how far this guy is going to go with our team.
The Union sell themselves short, we just watch them do it and comment on it. Do you like your new stadium?
Prediction: he's going to do real well there. And we'll be asking (again) why the team signed two well-paid players for the same position.
My brother moved out to Monterey a couple months ago for work... he's going to this game... his record of attending Union games is pretty decent, so maybe they'll win.... but I voted loss, cause Union.
Everything about it is wonderful, the sightlines are exceptional from any seat in the stadium. I hate the luxury moat on the bottom and the forking parking however.
