@ Weidner Field Gametime: 5:00 p.m. PDT TV: KQCA My 58 (Comcast Sacto 4, 704 HD) Estrella TV Sacramento (Comcast Sacto 377) ESPN+ Watch Party: New Glory Craft Eatery & Taproom | 5540 Douglas Blvd. Starts at 4:00 p.m. Only three teams in the Western Conference won their first game of the 2019 season, and Colorado was one of them with a strong 4-1 victory over L.A. Galaxy II. LA's goal came late (86th minute), so it looks like SRFC faces off against a Colorado Springs team that is currently firing on all cylinders. Should be a good one! I have tried to post conference standings for these teams, but it formats incorrectly. If you want to tell me in person that I suck at this, I will be at the watch party! lol.
Love those road wins against good teams. It wasn't a thing of beauty, and that PK was a dumb foul to commit there. OTH, the whole possession was gained after applying high pressure, so it was good to "steal" a win on the road. Odd about Bijev. He must be nicked up. Edit: Just checked out the club's twitter feed. Bijev was out with a left hammie.
Nice to win on the road, and an added bonus of having the depth to overcome an early season injury (Bijev). I think we only possesed about 40%......makes up for all those games two years ago where we possesed 80% and had no goals, lol. Thanks Paul B. Watch party was packed, we won the trivia game, and the Ubadank/SRFC beer can design was awesome! Good way to spend the afternoon after attending a funeral :-(
not sure how Robinson missed that open header in the first half but that came back & haunted COS. IMHO COS always plays Sac-Town tough. Still unbeaten & I expect the Sac Republic to improve as the season progresses. Onwards & Upwards!!!
