Another mid-week game. This one against a western power. Hoping for a tie!

It will be interesting to see if whatever disciplinary action the USSF takes against Dempsey for his antics at the end of the USOC match against Portland carries over into league play.

The USSF discipline Clint Dempsey? He'll get a slap on the wrist if anything. Dempsey will be out for their 6/20 game v. San Jose and in the lineup v. the Union on 6/24. Bank on it!

I wish it was 7.30 kickoff like last night. That half hour makes a big difference with the drive. About the only thing that went well yesterday. If they can play down to Rochester maybe they can play up to Seattle.

Very unlikely, his discipline will likely only carry over to further USOC games next year.

While I agree, it's sounding like he'll face a lengthy suspension in both USOC and MLS League play.

Also as said above, decent chance that Martins is out as well. Of course we all know that the Union will make Chad Barrett look like an MLS Best 11 player..........

We'll win, because I'll be missing this match due to work.

Yeah current rumor is that Dempsey's actions fall under assaulting a referee and is a mandatory 3 month ban. Definitely something interesting to see shake out.

One other consideration here: Sounders play at Portland the Sunday after this game. The Union match being a cross country trip, one could see Sigi rotating the squad in the middle of a busy schedule.

Union disappoint the fans by drawing at home after raising expectations by beating LA on the road in a fluke.

It should be according to the rules. The question is whether USSF will actually enforce the rules.

they will prob suspend him for future usoc games. no way in hell he misses gold cup and I cant image they suspend him for league matches, despite what rules might say

Seems like assaulting a referee is heading into Suarez-territory where the ban transcends competitions at least within the confederation.

Wouldn't the referees be collectively very upset if he skates on this?

What are they going to do? Strike?

We can get better refs again.

Well Martin's is out for 3-6 weeks so that's a slight plus. We'll see what they do with Dempsey...

    That said, still a loss.

Hoping for Dempsey to be out for this one too.

Voted win because I used a vacation day at work for this game. Would be nice to have it pay off lol
