Late game smash and grab for NY setting up perfectly for them. Ugh. Sub out Wenger now, for the love of god.
43 minutes in.......and I'm just thinking : somebody have a go.....thanks Nog. Game of contrasting styles. Both teams have their moments. Bunker & Hoof made to beat NYC-but Philly is dead on their feet and lack touch and mental sharpness. What I'd expect out of a team who refuses to rotate. Maidana's miss in the 34th minute was so bad Wenger would have scored it. Literally; when the ball is moving the Jr. Citizens just mug CJ. They dare Chaco to shoot. You see why. The guy isn't an offensive threat himself unless he's standing still. Only Pirlo in his old age gets away with that. Fab is the focal point of Kreis' tactics tonight. Wonder when he'll notice............. BC with another solid performance so far. Candy has room to work, but nobody to go to since Sapong is doing so much work upstream. Fresh legs needed. I don't care how bad Curtin thinks his bench sucks. Bring somebody in who's ready to run and spread NY out-because they are imposing their will physically in the back and in MF and it's only a matter of time before the Union crack. FB's have all the room they need on the counter, bring bodies in to help them exploit it!
Hey smokeandmirrors, can you pass me one of those paper bags? They played like horse s*** tonight, but still, it doesn't help them that the morons at the MLS scheduling department made a team that's played 3 games more than a bunch of other teams in the league play 3 games in 8 days.
Board can deal with this, there might be some good soccer being played tonight in MLS worth watching over further comment than this: another 3 pts. lost at home to dung sides. *** : Candy **: BC * CJ
Did you guys really expect something different? I mean, truly, deep down, did you expect things to turn out alright? We've been through this again and again: same Union, same results, different year. It's not like any of the problems the team was facing a month ago disappeared. We still have maybe 6-7 players of starting quality in MLS, and no real rhyme or reason as to how they should even be assembled. No depth. Inadequate training facilities and coaching staff. Etc. etc. etc.
As soon as that punk Mullins came it, you knew it was going to be him. I'd have loved to see Mo flatten him.
I don't think anything needs to be said. Tactics Jimmy really screwed the pooch: no squad rotation, poor subs, and unimaginative tactics. Par for the course for Curtin. I guess he'll share a beer and tell secrets to fans, and everything will then be ok.
