Fairly even stats, should be a good game. Gonna try and catch it at an unoffical watch party, and try a couple of new brews at the same time ;-)

that was a tough result to swallow - really played well but couldn't find the back of the net :(

I agree RobDog. Final stats were 31 shots to 8.

P.S. Restrepo is always at his best against us.

I ain't even mad. Our guys played three nights ago in Fresno, while SAFC was sitting on a full week break - and THEY were the ones cramping up.

Sometimes the results don't go your way. It was a completely lopsided game marred on our part by one mistake and a (probably) out of position AR.

    Shit happens. Onward and upward.

Yeah, not mad. But 37 shots. Holy moly. You would hope at least one of those could have found the back of the net.

Restrepo was absolutely out of his gourd last night, and even when caught out of position, his D headed at least two balls off the line.

Sometimes it just ain't your night.

Those might be league records for most shots and most corners in a game. Also, 91% passing accuracy, and 74% in the attacking half? 25 shots inside the box? Those are incredible numbers. It really looked all night like San Antonio was doing nothing but last-ditch defending.

That said, I was impressed by the 16-year-old kid who had the assist on their goal. He was probably their best player going forward. If he's playing like that in the USL at 16, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the USMNT before the next World Cup cycle is over.
