for C-bus ! Midweek game at home, no doubt they're tired from all that exertion.......won't want to get embarrassed at home in front of the fans like they did in Ohio. Going with the bunker/hoof & hope for a pt. that doesn't keep me up late.
That tifo they took to Red Bull about empty seats could backfire here. Expect 15K, no more. If 3 games in a week can bring DC down to the level where they lose to us, imagine where it could put us. But this is a tougher game than NYCFC, so maybe Curtin pushes the fragile ones (Carroll, Chaco, Nando) to start again here and is more experimental on Saturday. I'd like to see Sapong used earlier in the game, and none of Wenger preferably. Still, they were just toying with us last game, wouldn't be surprised if they got a lead and sat on it.
Speaking of tifo I would love to see the SOB do some sort or anti-FIFA / anti-Blatter display or chant at a game coming up. More and more fan groups are doing these types of displays across the World. Would be nice for our fans to take part and keep the pressure on FIFA. It would be noteworthy to be the first MLS supporters group to make such a statement.
I thought it was done in DC. But I don't feel like going through Twitter. I think this will be a loss. Curtin banking on three against NYC.
I was at the loss in Columbus, I might as well go to the loss at home. Although I have some optimism for this one, that's a bad sign.
I'm going to miss most of this match flying back from Cali, so I at least have that going for me. 5 hours trapped on Colicky Baby Airlines > watching Union match. That said, with that almost zen like experience in front of me I'm feeling positively positive. DRAW!! Also, if we're all making tifo requests, I'd love to see the North End soccer moms band together with a tifo asking the SoBs to make more tifo.
If you're serious about this, contact Bross. He does a lot of tifo but he can't do it all himself. He usually tweets from @sobtifo when they're getting together. Or contact him here: RYAN BROSS Tifo Director ryan.bross@sonsofben.com @rabmcmlxxxvii
Thank you, but I was just getting a joke in about what other people should do as volunteers. No desire to act.
It's gameday folks! I am looking forward to going to the game tonight (for the first time in a while). While the team is not sporting a great record right now and we're playing a Crew team that clobbered us last time we played, I'm strangely optimistic about tonight's game. At the very least the U has been a bit more fun to watch lately. A win vs. DC and another vs. RBNY (in convincing fashion) has made the games more fun to watch. Even the loss this past weekend was competitive. Heck, if we get the two red cards that were deserved, the U is on a 3 game W streak. I did pick loss for this one, but I have a feeling this one will be a bit closer than a 4-1 drubbing. I wouldn't be shocked if we grab a point (or 3) tonight. Trying to stay positive.... C'mon the U!!!
Wednesday night, tough competition, poor start...not sure how many people will show up tonight, but it looks like there's only about 3000 tickets unsold for tonight. "Paid" attendance still looks good, regardless of how many butts fill the seats at kickoff.
Yep, looking forward to going tonight and hopefully dooping again. I missed DC since I was sick, so it feels like a long time.
I thought about watching it from my couch due to a aggressive case of poison ivy on my leg. But I'll probably throw on some track pants and show up looking classy.
So a weeknight game during the school year against a team in the league lacking MLS stars, and there are zero promotions tonight. I love our FO!! Succeeding at every level. At least throw us a dollar dog night. A bobble head here would fill some more seats. Aren't these the games that need the promotions or am I off?
eh, I'm not one to backoff from railing on the FO often, but it's whatever... Wednesday games happen.... (3 in June including the Open Cup) surprisingly I think the June 24th game is the last scheduled Wed. of the year....
My boss scheduled an impromptu conference call at 7:30 tonight.... I will have to find a quiet part of the stadium.
