Philadelphia Union May 25th Camping World 7:30 Well, the first of our Wednesday games this season. Already reported earlier today that both Hines (knee) and Ramos (hamstring) are out - so Alston and Redding get the start. I'm wondering about the three attacking mid-fielders. I assume Kaka starts. It is reported that Heath mentioned he rested Molino for Wednesday, so who does he replace, Winter or Rivas? I will go with Bendik Alston/Mateos/Redding/Shea Carrasco/Haguita Molino/Kaka/Rivas Larin But I would not be shocked if Heath put Winter instead of Rivas.

How many of our players have a yellow card? Probably the easier question is who doesnt have a yellow?
Nice format. It's unfortunate you have to lose tonight, but I like the Union. Unlike some other Eastern Conference leaguemates..
We (I) do one every week for every game. We also include a game poll for win-lose-tie. We will not be losing tonight! I usually fly down for the OCSC-Union games and go with my sons. I have had a blast on my trips to see your team play ours. I had a ton of fun in that Purple Hell corral where they do that little music/tailgate stuff pre-game. Have fun tonight enjoying your loss to the conference leaders! I'll be watching here in South Jersey, wishing I was there!
OK, I feel embarrassed by my tiny attempt at pre-game: Philadelphia Union May 25th Camping World 7:30 I need to step my game up I might 'borrow' parts of your idea's moving forward.
Feel free to copy it if you want. Kinda why I posted it here. I've been doing this for 7 years, you guys are new, lol.
When is Heath going to give up on the Brek Shea is a LB idea? His misplay of the ball at the end resulted in the corner kick where Philly scored.
These home draws are really getting old and this team has no fluidity or rhythm to their game. Very disjointed. Season is a 3rd of the way over. Time to get a move on. Time to get rolling.
So frustrating. He clearly has no ability to perform the most basic defensive movements. That horrible clearance which led to the corner is text book 101 for a defender. Even worse, Heath already had Boden going to the forth official to replace Shea, when he gave up the goal. Shea has plenty of offensive ability, so Heath either needs to get him up front, or move on from him.
??? Boden was never going into the game last night, nor did he go into the game. But I was much more upset about the way the corner was defended. Shea followed a Union player all the way across the field from the left hand side. He did this even though there were still two Union players on the left and Carrasco was out there with them by himself. Bad on Shea. But a complete lack of awareness by the entire team, because no one else on the team looked over and though to themselves, maybe one of us should help. Even when the two Union players were passing the ball back and forth, everyone else just sat around watching instead of helping. The entire play was a complete disaster.
Announced as 24K plus. Which is still above last year's low water mark, and I don't think we'll see any games lower.
Well, I do not want to start an argument, but he had clearly taken the red penny off and was getting last instructions from Adrian as he put his shin guards on. Once the goal was scored, after talking with Adrian briefly, he pulled his shin guards back out, put the red penny back on and jogged back to the warm up area behind Bendik.
But I love to argue! Ok, not really. I guess I missed that, I rarely miss it when a player is heading to the bench to go into the game. Heath did mention last night that he was considering putting on an "extra" defender before the last Philly goal was scored but then decided to go for the win and put Barry as a wild card. Says he never knows what Barry is going to do. So maybe he was going to replace Larin with Boden and either move Shea up or use Boden as a third CB with a five defender look. I don't think he was planning to replace Shea, but I suppose that could have been his thought process.
Yeah, both my son and I were surprised. Not sure if he was actually coming in for Shea, or if Shea was going to move into a mid-field position and Baptista up top. I do agree with Barry...you never know what he is going to do
Even more interesting is our line up for Sunday...let me count, the following are out: 1) Ramos (injury) 2) Haguita (yellow card accumulation) 3) Mateos (red card) 4) Ceren (injury) 5) Hines (injury - I am assuming) I will open another threat for Sundays game, but man....
I agree with you. I think they will put Reddng/Boden in the middle. I an more interest to see Nocerino as a defensive mid fielder. I think that is his natural position. Hopefully on Monday I can say 'I told yous so"
