I can't argue with Fabregas's red. But again, why is Arfield still on the pitch?

Excellent flick from Morata. Great PL debut for him at least.

Ref will need to show a 3rd red and give a penner.

Two goals, a red card, several yellows and 5/6 subs... 4 minutes added.

Just don't agree, if he doesn't win the ball sure, but he got there first.

Least surprising thing about today to be honest. Surprised it wasn't less all things considered.

Pawson was just shocking. A truly awful performance.

We have one eligible midfielder for Spurs next week. Christensen next to Kante is my guess.

    ... you forgot... at HOME!

It shouldn't make a difference but it always does. Well, unless it's us of course.

Honestly, fully imagine Drinkwater to be announced on Monday. Dear lord.

I'm visiting family who have a small child. Was under orders to be quiet and was until the announcement of 4 minutes. Couldn't contain it then.

How much money did this crew have on the match? Unbelievable. That foul (and yellow!) on Rudiger to change the pace of the match and waste three minutes was also hilarious. We actually played really well in the second half.

Next weekend, um....Christensen in midfield, I guess. He looked very good today.

    That was actually hysterical.

    Well, Morata looks good!

Inexcusable how bad we looked post-red card (the first one). So vulnerable in defence. Lacking in any penetration in attack. Depth at wingback/midfield aside, not having someone else world class in attack other than Eden is bad.

Weaknesses aside, we looked like ourselves for the first 15. Relatively calm, patient play, probably liable to get a comfy home win til Gary went full retard. Simply cannot do that this day and age however badly you want to argue he shouldnt have gotten a red. I just hope Conte can keep it together and get these guys going despite difficulties in the transfer market. Wanting to give up because it was hard to get your targets is as shitty as some of Roman's impulse firings. Its silly. Hes not working with crap tho there is obvious room for improvement in terms of squad depth. Worried about his demeanor and the players moods in general. That will kill us more than any lack of signings will.

The obvious shortage of stoppage time was probably the least infuriating thing about Pawson's performance. No way that all of those stoppages is only four minutes. Would like an FA review of this, but I doubt it would happen.

On the positive side, Morata was brilliant. Unless his fitness is a major issue, I think he should be the starter. Michy looked horrific today.

On the negative side, our squad is now even thinner with suspensions for Fabregas and Cahill. Danny Drinkwater to save our season!

Meanwhile, I championed Morata over Lukaku during the summer. This cameo is hopefully a portent of things to come, but man - he's great in possession.

Having to carry his contract for 4 years isn't worth having him for a Spurs game.

Morata looked great. Unfortunately he's going to have Kante and either Christensen or a new mid to provide service and that's most likely to be Danny Drinkwater.
