So, now that the Shield is clinched, will Vanney play the full squad just to keep everyone rolling or give a number of bench players some minutes?
How fitting, we get to lift the shield in front of Montreal and if NYRB loses this sat have the chance to be the ones to end their playoff dreams. Almost as if the back to back losses were just to cause them all kinds of pain on the 15th.
Will Altidore and Bradley be back for this match? I'm thinking that they're going to have a little venting to do. On the bright side, we won't be losing them to international duty next June. But we will be losing Cooper.
On the plus side, TFC ties the all-time point record with 68. On the negative, definitely not Giovinco's day today.
Pretty crap match all round.....Seba not the only one sub par. But a record was set and a trophy awarded so there’s that.
TFC's next great capo? You be the judge 😄 #TFCLive https://t.co/95tmF7QSld— Toronto FC (@TorontoFC) October 16, 2017
Not really. I wasn't at the game but I live not too far away and it was windy as hell so I was assuming that there would be implications on the game.
not on the two penalty misses though (well, one penalty missed twice). Both times he struck it firmly, low and against the post....doubt that it was impacted by wind at all. I might also note that both times he struck it with what I would describe as "confidence"....he hit the post.....I don't think it means anything at all.
For Seba, I think it was rust. He needs to go the full 90 again next week to regain his timing and decision making. For the other guys, perhaps they had one eye on the game and the other eye on the post match celebration. It's not excusable. If we play like that again this season, then we will be in serious danger. Montreal showed much more fight and intensity yesterday and it was mostly lack of finishing on their part that allowed us to win.
