This is a loss for TFC. Should have beaten Colorado easily. No excuses are allowed here. Chicago and NYCFC are jizzing themselves over this result right now.
This is what happens when you squander chance after chance. For, what, 60 minutes there was only one team going forward (did Irwin have a save to make in first half).....game should have been wrapped up.....but you give a team life, then one of your subs truths the ball over to them 30 yards from your net and they make 1 pass to beat your LCB (who was moving forward in a manner suggesting the last thing he expected was that turnover) and all of a sudden, without doing anything much, they are level.
The good news is that Chicago lost yesterday to NYCFC. We're in ahead of them in points, level in PPG. Still a shame to not get a step up on them when we had the chance, but it's not a disaster.
If the Supporters Shield is something you're worried about, shouldn't NYCFC also be a concern? They're coming in next weekend with a chance to go level. ________ Last night was a game that we should've won, period. While I'm flattered that Colorado had to resort to CONCACAF style time wasting to get a result, the fact is that they had to do it because they know they don't belong on the same pitch as us. I'm disappointed that they were killed off long before the 75th minute.
