We gave away several league games in our CCL quest and now is the time to unleash the team that beat the Mexican squads on the rest of MLS. The Supporters' Shield may already be out of reach but maybe not.
TFC has only played two home games. Next three are at BMO and all winnable games. If they can string together nine points, they are in the middle of the pack with lots of time to go. Hopefully they don't just play poorly like other teams have done after their CCL runs.
OK. VAR has to go. There were 3 calls to video review in the first half. All three were to Chicago's advantage. In the case of the goal that was called off, nobody on Chicago was appealing for offside, so why even bother?
VAR does not work in soccer. The game is based on fluidity. Maybe for goal line ball over the line or not, but the run of play...leave it to the officials. The ref isn't going to call stuff and wait for VAR on close calls. Its stupid. It slows the game. The fact that you can go back several minutes and make a decision completely changes what happened since the reviewable incident. Is it in the World Cup? If so, mark my words....it will be the only topic of conversation from the games...It will overrun the World Cup.
