TFC just tweeted out that Eastern Conference Champs gear is already on sale a the souvenir kiosks! NICE!
incredible. just wow. it was such a long time coming and we all deserve a round of applause here. Most of us have been here since day 1, thick and a lot of thin. The 2 leg series was a classic Canadian soccer moment and I will never forget that but glad TFC won in the end. It was destiny, 10 years in the making. 1 MORE!
Oh yeah, almost forgot: this is the trophy TFC won tonight as Eastern Conference champs: But this is the trophy we want TFC to lift after December 10:
Yep, easily the best I've seen at BMO. After Oduro scored, I thought "not again", then bam it's 2-1 and hope starts to creep in. The second half did to it us all again, and I'd have never thought ET would happen. The joy after Cheyrou scored was just crazy awesome, and the capper to go up two was bedlam. Wouldn't have been a memorable TFC win without the final 20 minutes of nerves - but thankfully Montreal was gassed and we held on. Never been happier to hear that Depeche Mode song!
Add that one to the 2016 cabinet along with the Voyageur's Cup and of course the much-coveted Trillium Cup.
I don't think this is was the greatest MLS tie ever but it certainly was a classic and it was nice to come out on the winning end of it all. It is great to see the club get this far and hope we will continue on to do the double this year and put a cap on year 10. We have the quality in the squad to do it, just hope we are prepared and able to achieve on the big stage (also big we get to host it as well)
No. He was going for the ball, not trying to nail Bernadello. That's different than asking about a call but I don't think it's a red.
As for the game, it was great to see the team come through. I really, really hope Irwin can pick it up for the cup match. That's two games in a row where a goal got in that he should have had. And Ricketts. Wow! He just looks like he's having so much fun out there.
If we set aside club rivalries for a second....both clubs should be getting a ton of credit for what they have done for the profile of our sport in this country. In the stands or at home on TV...this is not a minor sporting event anymore! 804440561327476736 is not a valid tweet id 804441186794610688 is not a valid tweet id
If MLS had a 12th Man Award the way the NBA does with its Sixth Man Award, Ricketts woud be the winner of it, if not a finalist.
