Looking forward to seeing the boys back on the pitch. Reports that we will be without Van der Wiel (girl friend expecting) and Mavinga (injury) so I would guess the line-up will look like this ------------------Bono--------------- Hasler--Moor-------Zav---Morrow ----------------Bradley-------------- -----Delgado-----------Osorio--- ----------------Vazquez------------ ---------Serba-----Altidore------- Subs: Irwin, Auro, Hagglund, Fraser, Chapman, Spencer, Hamilton
Here's to hoping for a post-game headline along the lines of "TFC picks up where it left off in 4-0 romp over Rapids".
Not to take away from a nice win but what's with Howard basically not moving on Osorio's goal? It wasn't exactly a world-class header. That was easily savable.
Yeah the only thing can think of is he thought it was going wide or the defender was going to clear it. It was a very awkward looking goal. Game went as good as we could hope for with couple way goals and no injuries. Serba was great all game was real influence, Bradley was good when called upon as was Bono who made a couple saves.
A nice assist and goal by the Atomic Ant. Well done. Auro already looks comfortable with the team. Excellent game by him.
I didn't think it was stellar keeping on that one but I really liked how Osorio made space for himself at the far post and did a good job of getting the ball on net. Howard has been pretty sub par for awhile.
I think this is Osorio's year to shine. I was also impressed with Auro and the way Giovinco looks like he hasn't taken a break. I know it's early but we can repeat.
With the new Spanish guy on the way and the need to have the right balance in the midfield, competition for starting spots involving the guys not named Bradley or Vazquez is going to be fierce.
^ It will be. And in that regard, I admire Osorio. I know it is fashionable among some to slag him as not being so good. That said, TFC has demonstrated that they will give playing time to the guys who earn it. Osorio has continued to earn it despite the constantly rising level of competition he faces for the spot.
