So a South American does the two European teams and a European does the two South American teams on Friday. :)

If I were Carlos, I think I might hide some pepper spray in my free kick spray... or just pack some hand grenades in my kit... this is going to be one of the hardest games in the tournament.

Good Luck Mr. Vellasco Carballo, you're going to need it.

Ouch, if the evaluators put this fellow in the top six, they must have a vastly differing view of successful refereeing from most of the people I know.
With two SA rivals and the host nation playing, this could be the major train wreck of this World Cup.

James Rodriguez fouled. A message foul, one worthy of a card. Nothing shown.

Carballo has given Brasil a lot of latitude. Colombia hard done.

Most marginal calls going Brazil's way so far.

Seems influenced by the Home Crowd noise.

It's clear Brasil have targeted Rodriguez yet he has done nothing save blown his whistle for the foul to protect him. Disappointing since he works la Liga.

Anyone know what happened on the restart after the small scrum. He's blowing his whistle then all of a sudden a Brazil player sends the ball upfield and we're playing...looked ugly.

PIADM when both raised their feet at the same time at the same height. Strange call.

Terrible wall management and failure to enforce the required distance. Carballo needs to ask why are Colombia's players so mad at him. There appears he has a real bias towards Brasil.

I thought he called a foul and not playing in a dangerous manner. There was no foul or dangerous play on that challenge. Colombia benefit from a bad decision.

Neymar was about 4-5 meters away when ball was kicked. That had to be a mandatory yellow.

So far Carballo has missed at Minimum 3 yellows

Sloppy officiating and as a result, getting more physical than it needs to be.

35th minute both players go in high with their feet for the ball in the PA arc on the Colombia attacking end. Doesn't look like much, if any, contact. Free kick awarded to Colombia.
Did Brazil encroach on the FK or are they just fast?

His arm was up - it was an IFK - I sure can't think of an option other than PIADM

They encroached massively. There was not even a question.
