4 CRs, 8 ARs, GLT, video replay, and a layer of electrically conductive film painted in each player to detect if they are touched or not. Problems solved.
What? Did you read the entirety of my statement? Name for me a single corner kick where a foul of some degree DOESN'T occur. I guarantee you every one includes a jersey tug, push or other such nefarious conduct that could, as I said, be legitimately called by a ref. That doesn't mean they should.
sure, calling a PK for that might cause some problems at first, but I think players would adjust fairly quickly. At this point they know they can get away with anything, so they do.
If THEY ALL started calling it, it would only be 80% for a very short time, and then the nonsense in the area on corners would stop and it would no longer be 80%. BUT that mandate has to come from above and applied uniformly. Certainly can't/won't be fixed a single ref.
Why not go all the way and just play the Cup electronically on FIFA 14? The money saved could then be used on socially responsible endeavors which would satisfy certain people.
If Marchisio's was red, so's that. This tournament is sorely lacking for consistency with regard to SFP.
Yes that could have been a red. But a yellow is not unreasonable. I would not call it a shocker. Even the Nigernian players did not harangue the ref for a red card there. Look at the straight reds so far: the Italian in the uruguay game and the belgian in the south korea game. They went straight studs up into the shins. This is not the same.
