Funny how little Klinsmann didn't step out of his comfort zone by going to Europe as soon as possible. He must have a weak American mindset due to his American upbringing.

Yeah, I saw him say that. Ugh. I would have liked to see the Starting line-ups for the US.

“It felt a bit strange,” Fossey commented on playing against his national side. “I knew four or five of the players, I knew what they had to bring to the table.

“So I guess I was more prepared than my other team mates in that respect. I knew both their left back and their striker.

“We stayed out in Costa Rica with the coaches for a long time, we bonded, and with the players as well. We were pretty much a family out there so it was good to see them again.”

Fossey himself played well in the match, defending but also putting very good balls into dangerous areas.

Even though it was at match for the American coaches to look at other players, he didn’t harm his chances demonstrating what he can do with that performance.

“The World Cup is only three or four weeks away so I need to keep giving a good impression and keep in the coach’s mind. Hopefully I’ve kept that starting spot for the World Cup, its not far away now at all.

Is there an update on Marlon? Several people have mentioned that he is injured in the "Youth National Teams" thread, but I cannot find any information about an injury.

Marlon is absolutely devastated - he was really looking forward to playing in South Korea with the USA squad. He picked up a groin injury at the start of April and worked hard enough on his recovery to be considered fit enough to fly to the USA to join the squad for full assessment. Unfortunately the injury was aggravated whilst with the squad and he was not fit for final selection.
He is now very determined to overcome his disappointment and return even stronger and fitter in the new season

Fossey deserves to be on that list, but to have no McKennie and Wright on that list is a big omission.

Also, it reads like a stat sheet reader to have Davies and Lainez from the '00 age group, but no Carleton, Sargent, Gloster, Durkin, etc. I think a good argument can be made Davies and Lainez aren't even the best 00's in their country.

EPB above CCV is highly questionable at best, as well.

Why? He's a more talented footballer IMO, and has caught up to him in the consistency aspect.

Regardless, it is great to have this kind of argument and I hope we continue arguing about it for years to come.
