Operation for a torn ACL and MCL - similar to the knee injury to that was suffered by Benjamin Mendy, a player bought by Manchester City for £45m in August 2017 and injured in September 2017. Featured in the "All or Nothing" series on Amazon Prime, Mendy's rehabilitation took 8 months and he has now returned to the Man City side.

Marlon Fossey is likely to be out for most of this season. Very disappointing as he was making a breakthrough in pre-season - and was "man of the match" in the pre-season game Fulham vs Celta Vigo. Now he is faced with putting in the hard work to achieve full recovery.

    Man, that sucks.

Pulling hard for him to make a complete comeback. Let him know we all have his back over here.

Watched him since he was 15 playing for Under 16s, Under 18s and Under 23s. He can give the false impression of being uninterested at times but it is all part of his extremely laid back nature that has served him well, thus far.

Watched him develop from being a young lad learning his trade to a young man with his unquestionable quality development as well at Fulham academy and USA at U20 level. In February 2017 he was not only a key player in the first-ever CONCAFF victory by the USA. His performances were widely acknowledged and he was selected as one of the best 11 players of the entire tournament covering the continents of North and South America. A natural athlete, who could have represented the country at athletics but chose football instead; very gifted in close control, speed, with the ball at feet and with a clear understanding of striking positions learned prior to being converted to an attaching right wing back.

Great balance, poise and control; indeed, his ball control and first touch are outstanding and as good as anyone at the club; fast and forward thinking with a natural athletic running style and acceleration at times. He whips in some great crosses.

I rate him as the best player currently outside the 25 man 1st team squad, although the subsequent loan of Fosu-Mensah has made that more difficult. However, his season has been dealt a cruel blow with injury, which looks like it could rule him out for the season as it did most of last season.

I wonder if players are given the option of where to rehab or if Fulham insists that they go to Jacksonville. Interesting partnership with the common shared owner either way. Sort of surprised he's not wearing Fulham gear at any rate.

Makes sense, they sent him to the Jacksonville facility in Florida and the facility provided him the training gear he is using during his rehab.

No reason for him to bring a suitcase full of Fulham gear.

Honestly I've been super unimpressed with players' recovery time from knee injuries for soccer in Europe. NBA/NFL teams do a much better job on that from my completely removed POV.

Well, there are a lot more mult-billion dollar teams here, so as a country we end up putting in a ton more money into the recovery of athletes. Add in all the bigger college programs, and there are plenty of great facilities and a huge knowledge base out there (by which I mean "here"). We don't produce the best soccer players, but our sports science is cutting edge, and fueled by a never-ending arms race at the professional and college levels.

Appears he's back training with Fulham, according to his Instagram story.

This kid is such a player.

Been ravaged by injuries the last two years, really hoping he can bounce back.
