Shame. But if they weren't going to guarantee him first team football he didn't have much choice. He won't be in goals at the WC if he's riding pine every week.

I guess when he talks about possibilities in England he's referring to Championship clubs. Hard to see him getting another gig at the top level at this stage, unless one of the newly-promoted Prem teams wants him on a 12 month contract.

Ouch...really. I would have thought Federaci(sp) would be the #1 now or at least the prime challenger.

Well I hope Holger won't keep picking him, and sticking to his players must be playing regularly mantra, but who knows.

Unless Cech has an injury I don't see him getting more than 20 games. Don't think that's enough to keep his first choice place with the Roos.

    Hangs up his boots

A great servant of the game and the national team. There was a stretch where I watched every match with the certainty that, if necessary, he would pull off a ridiculous stop to keep us in the game.

Loved his game but he really hampered the team by sticking around after signing with Chelsea. Actually the previous coach did a disservice to the team by still calling him up as the #1. Now whomever takes over has maybe 2-5 matches to gel with the back line.

Fantastic keeper. Could be argued that he was the most important piece of the puzzle for both 2006 and 2010. Time to go though And I'm glad he made the choice. Lucas - your turn now mate.

With Cech and now Thibaut Courtois ahead of him, i'm guessing Mark will be doing a lot of training and then watching games.

He's done an interview blaming our form slump on the A-League...

What is it with these guys? Cahill must be having some awkward convos these last few months.
