    In for surgery & out for the rest of the season:

    The season has ended for Mario Rodriguez. A follow-up investigation showed that the SG striker has to be operated on the bar and therefore will be around six weeks.

    Just a note, that's the local Württemberg Cup, not the DFB Pokal. Only BL, 2BL, and top few 3. Liga clubs qualify for the DFB Pokal directly. All the other lower league clubs have to qualify by winning their regional cup, of which there are 21.

    Based on last year's entrants, their "big" competition should be Stuttgarter Kickers. Of course, Sonnenhof were bounced in the round of 16 by an Oberliga club and Stuttgarter Kickers lost in the final to the tremendously German club called Sportfreunde Dorfmerkingen, a 7th tier club.
