I would love it if we got to test ourselves against the Portuguese. Unpredictable and can cause upsets, it's always been a interest to me that they didn't live up to their potential until the 2016 Euro.
Would like to see them play Belgium again but near wherever they play Portugal so they don't have to waste a day to travel... Reason being other than Portugal they have the have had a couple of very good and in form scorers like Lukaku and Hazard.. It's important to play against teams that will have a goal scoring presence like Lewandowski... And they should also try to play in January even if it is against teams not qualified for the world Cup but that play similar to Japan and Senegal... But note that people say Japan's coach wants them to play more like a Bosnia than Japan because that's where he's from.. He wants to play like a euro team.. And note that Japan will play in December Colombia should try to play in January against say a team with a lone striker that is very good and on fire that is a goal poacher and can use both feet to score .. But definitely should play in January.. If Belgium says no they should try to Saudi Arabia and Iceland and try to play in a place like France so players in Europe don't have to travel far.. Saudi Arabia has a prolific goal scorer Al-Sahlawi he's no Lukaku or Lewandowski but he scored 16 goals to get SA into the World Cup.. And it might be easier to get a friendly vs a team like Saudi Arabia than Germany or France on a non Fifa date.. Same for Iceland..
If we play in January it will probably be with Colombian League and MLS players in Miami against Honduras or something like that. Clubs are not obligated to release players on Non- FIFA dates.
Or players on break from south American leagues and maybe 3-4 guys and probably not James or Falcao or Cuadrado but that's fine because obviously they are going to be on the final roster..
bump read this as well can someone please change the title of the thread? Also as for the Belgium friendly. It would be stupid. They are most likely our round of 16 game. I would like to play Russia, Serbia or Germany(last 8 ) to play a strong tall euro team to be ready for Poland.

wouldn't mind playing Saudi Arabia or Australia considering they are AFC teams that played in Japan's group along with a strong physical Eastern Euro team like Slovakia, Montenegro, Romania etc.... remind me, once draw is complete, do WC qualified teams typically not play friendlies against any WC teams even outside their group....
a few examples - just before 2014 world cup: 1. Spain played Bolivia, Italy, El Salvador 2. France played Holland, Norway, Paraguay, Jamaica 3. Germany played Chile, Poland, Cameroon, Armenia 4. England played Denmark, Peru, Ecuador and Honduras answer is....it's a mixed bag of qualified/non-qualified teams We'll probably play an African team and two European teams. We played Japan/Korea so we got Asia covered....
Portugal is the next game in March we will play in Spain!!! Just hope the pre WC games are good too. Italy, Holland would be sweet or even russia before the cup

The Sanchez/Barrios pairing would be a huge mistake, link up play would be nonexistent with these two and no need to show France such respect in a friendly.
I have watched probably 4 o 5 Boca games this season just to see Barrios play and that guy is a monster playing there but just like many other players it hasn't translated into the same play with the NT. I really hope somehow he can find a way to fit into our team.
