Soon you will see "a culpa e do Benfica" memes by the blind Benfica fans. The same guys who used to cry themselves to sleep when the refs Where screwing them

You celebrate a draw like you just won the league. Small team mentality.

Don't really get why you're being so ignorant, have I said anything negative about maritimo? No.

Can't call us plastics when we've supported this team through some bad years and still yet to see us win a trophy, and yes I have been to many sporting games

Lol what happened to you son? Do you need to talk about it? No one said a word about your club and you're going out of your way to try to insult us. Key word here is try. Some of the most spectacularly embarrassing insults I think I've ever seen. I guess it's better than the "bell end" embarrassment you had going last year.

Disappointing result to say the least. Thought the fullbacks were terrible as usual. Terrible Brain farts on the goals.

Who's a Coates's fan ? First goal against was his fault. Missed a chance heading the ball wide before Dost equalized the match. I hope he doesn't stay beyond the current loan. Pissed the offside call ruined the 3 points, but honestly, a draw was a fair result. I thought Zeegelaar was sold off already ? Too bad he wasn't. Palhinha in Carvalho's place went remarkably quietly almost unnoticed . Which I think it means Carvalho wasn't missed. That said, it really means just how much last season's Carvalho leaves Sporting a weaker squad this season. Unfortunately, his ingress in the second half, did not bring much improvement to Sporting's play.
I don't get tired, maybe I should, of question why is Schelotto playing ? He can't cross a half-decent ball into the adversary's area, he can't defend, he can't head a ball, he can't stay on his feet when physically challenged, why ?

BTW, it was nice to see JJ in the sidelines. I missed those gesticulations coming from the technical area that fills the spectator with displays of undeniable attitude of involvement and passion, but not necessarily intelligent, calculating, or hopeful.

I believe you owe most of the posters here an apology.
I and most here have been fans for a long time, and have watched Sporting in vivo, both in Europe and here in the colonies.

Regardless, you have to calm down. Or take the trash talk somewhere else. I mean, what's the point of freaking out like that?

That looks pretty clear cut in a still image but during the game is a different story. That last Maritimo defender is quickly trying to set the offside trap. This all happens in split seconds. Some of the refs favour Benfica but the linesman didn't have the armchair quarterback still image to assist on this one.

True, but the rules are clear, when there is doubt, it should benefit the attacking player. I'll admit that more often than not I rarely see it officiated properly , worldwide .
