This will be an important season for United's youth teams and Gomes will be a big part of that. Their plate will be pretty full this summer and they'll be going on a trip of their own training camp to Austria (the same day the senior team leaves for the US), in preparation for the summer tournaments coming up and the season as well. The youngsters I want to see in preseason are ones who have a real chance to contribute in some way to the senior team: AP, Tuanzebe, Timmy, CBJ, Riley, Willock and so on. Guys on the verge of making it at senior level, or who've had already a small taste of it.
which is why I want him gone. he can't add anything to the squad at this point that at worst a youth player can't. this is a practical lesson in opportunity cost.
I'll be there in Levi's! What a ********ing ripoff though... not sure it's worth it to boo Madrid and United for a couple hours. Probably 140% of what I spent on LFC's tour last summer.
Went to Levi's two years ago and had a great time, but had to tap out this year. Too rich for my blood.
I'm saving for a tri across the pond. No date in mind, maybe 2020 around Christmas break. Way more bang per buck.
Complete Preseason slate for United this summer. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-summer-tour-news-13145096 Packed and busy schedule, which hopefully will have s hit the ground running once the season starts.
Curious as to where Rojo is on his recovery at this stage. But it's great that he travelled with the team this time (no passport issues apparently, ) Will Lukaku not take part in games while the team is in the US?
How the hell is Rojo in the squad for the tour? Unless I missed something, he had an ACL repair in May. Unless he's now part cyborg, there's no way he's ready for any sort of pivoting or training with the team. He's probably not even jogging yet.
It appears that the players who are currently still injured in one way or another (Rojo, AY and Shaw) have all been brought along and will continue their rehab while on tour. This is also about being together for X amount of weeks, as much as training and prep for the new season.
Jose provided some insight on the goalkeeper rotation for the first 3 preseason games: LA Galaxy: Dave, then Pereira will play. RSL: Romero - Pereira City: Dave -Romero
