While we obviously fall short on the depth chart vs other "top 6" sides, I think the main criticism needs to be geared toward not translating the "top 6 form" vs the crap of the league.

You know - I commented yesterday during the game how "proud" I was of our players not rushing the ref when he failed to call the two penalties that should have been called (Mane and GW), and failed to deliver a red card for Yaya's "challenge" on Can...each time they just got up and played...refreshing...

“My eyes lit up, I just thought to myself ‘If I get some connection on this, it’s a goal’ but it just took a bounce in front of me.

“Me being me, I went into the dressing room and said sorry to them all. That’s the way I felt. I put my hands up. To not hit the target… It was a chance I should have hit the target with and probably should have scored. I felt if we got the second, we would have put the game to bed.

“I apologised for not hitting the target but the lads were fine. It’s one of those things, isn’t it? They happen sometimes. It was a good point but I’m so disappointed not to score it because it could have been the difference.”

Defenders and goalkeepers get hammered when their errors lead to goals allowed and points dropped, it's about time that an offensive player admits his error led to dropped points.
