Hi guys, There appear to be some talking malware ads on the site this morning. Got a warning about content from "content.bannersulike.com." Just FYI! You probably already know.
Yeah, a couple of them appear to be trying to direct to other sites without even being clicked on. I'm not sure how exactly that works, but... yeah.
I don't know if I'm getting the exact same thing as the other people here, but over the past week or two, I'd be on a page, and then it randomly takes me to a "My Computer Online Scan" page - which I know is a scam at the least - that shows what looks like the "My Computer" window (like if you go to the Windows start menu) but is still in my browser window. This has happened on three different computers I've used, and only on BigSoccer.
Yeah, I think that's what we're all getting, SiberianThunder. That and the talking ads both appeared at roughly the same time.
That's the thing, I've never seen any ads before the screen changes on me besides the regular ones at the top of the page - but then again my screen changes fairly quickly, so I don't get to see the two ads on the lower left. As far as I can tell, it's not the talking ads ($1000 WalMart giftcard my @ss) that are the problem, since it's never talked before bringing me to that "My Computer online scan" page.
I don't know. I'm suspicious of the talking ones. It's definitely some of the cheaper, stupid-looking ads (you know the type) that are responsible... like right now there are "Duck Hunting" and "Fashion Girl LA" left-side ads and my browser (IE on Windows) just tried to open a pop-up.
I don't know if I'm having the same problem as the rest of you but every couple pages or so, I get taken directly to the McAfee (my antivirus software) security breach webpage that says "served.antventure.com/creatives/hindustantimes/ron /160600ad.html may cause a breach of browser security," which then gives me the option to override the warning even though the website mentioned will cause changes to my pc or blow it up or something. If I click back, I can go back to the previous page and try it again, which usually works until down the line I get taken back to the McAfee page. It's always that same message, doesn't matter where I am on BS.
I recommend you get another anti-virus program. But install it before you uninstall McAfee. McAfee could be the biggest pain in the ass....
Something on a page called bonstre.com is causing my Norton AV to report a virus attack, along with furious hard drive activity. I don't know if I'm accidentally clicking on something or it is loading from an ad.
I got the same thing from Webroot Spy Sweeper. A Webroot pop up with a URL Block and then I hit OK thinking it would close Webroot page and let me get back to big soccer. Then I went to a youtube page with a video about suffering in Sudan.
(Do not click on these links!!) Here is my history when I got sent to another site without clicking or hovering on any ads. I was using Safari on Mac OS X. This was last night, about 11:00 pm CDT. I was reading here: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1092443&page=13 And I all of a sudden jumped to here: http://cluster.adultadworld.com/mmm/ Which redirected here: http://www.primosearch.com/jump1/?a...tr=Z745043260kVWZm9CMx4iNz4SMwIjL3YzLvoDc0RHa and then finally here: http://14_1988612474.mylocalhero.com/search.php?keyword=free and here: http://bridge2.admarketplace.net/bo...b_width=1125&b_height=766&b_top=38&b_left=186
