did not play in the 1st game of the UEFA Development Tournament, we lost in PK shootouts to the Netherlands. Seems like only 3 subs are allowed.

no idea if there will be rotation for the next 2 games though.

looks like there are rotations, started the 2nd game vs Italy, in which we won on PK after a 1-1 draw. Played the full game but did not take any of the PK in the shootout.

    last game on Monday.

20E490A6-FEE9-46B6-9919-97E2278E9785.jpeg I spotted these interactions between Jalen and Malik on Malik’s Instagram account. 1D824BD9-3188-429B-BB20-DDC97AD77F4C.jpeg Malik’s line translates to “Jalen new football hope in USA.”
I don’t know what this could mean but they seem interesting.

we are now around a year away from him being potentially provisionally cap tied.
as the 02's qualifiers for EC U17 is likely March 2019 and also the same group likely to play at the U17 WC if we make it. As we only play by age years.

Malik scored a goal and drew a PK that was scored in a 4-4 draw vs Stuttgart U17.

it was his 1st goal since Nov.

Moritz Mosandl and Malik Tillman will start training with the U19 and then they will decide whether they will stay in U17 as they are still eligible or move up to U19.

    U19 friendly:

The Bayern, who had to continue to dispense with numerous players due to professional shots, played in a 4-1-4-1 system. Chris Richards made his debut for FCB, the new signing from FC Dallas came on as a substitute. With Lasse Günther and Malik Tillman also two players from the U17 Munich were used.

the time for a provisional cap tie for either side is getting closer and closer. 02 are the group who can participate for the 2019 U17 WC.

even if he played for both U15. Fact is he's been in every squad for the German U16 and played the full match in half of the games (as they rotate), including in May 2018.

earliest possible chance for that is March 2019 for the U17 ECQ.

And for the US, the earliest provisional cap-tie would be what, U-17 WC qualifying?

seems like it, the U17 WC qualifying for concacaf is the 2019 concacaf U17 championship. Since the US gets an automatic berth that's the next stop.

I don't know the dates but from a quick look up. Both the 2013 and 2017 qualifiers were in April while the 2011 and 2015 were in Feb/March. If it follows the timeline, seems like it could be in Feb/March.

U15s are mostly camps but once players move past that. It's usually for duals that as long as they keep getting called up and get playing time, they are likely to stay in the program. Once they stop being called up or they are nothing but bench options that's when the idea of going for the other option happen.

what I do find interesting is that I've seen mention that Malik might be the more talented Tillman of the 2. Although I haven't watched enough of him to say whether that's the case or not.

Had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win for the U17. Good chunk of that team are 03 players, so Malik is like a senior.:p I believe he was the captain during the game.
