Malaga vs Real Madrid La Rosaleda La Liga Jornada 38 Sunday 21st May 2017 11.00 PT This one is for all the marbles. Final matchday of a long and eventful season. We travel to La Rosaleda to face Michel's Malaga with everything on the line. A draw or win will see us champions regardless of what the cule scum do in their game. So many subplots here. Zizou's team selection/rotation. End of season briefcases from Catalonia. Michel's Madridismo. Its all quite fascinating. Bale and Carva are still not fit so will be missing for us. James is back in training as well although he probably won't start this one. The guys played 3 days ago but for the last game of the season with everything on the line fatigue shouldn't matter. Have to mention that Zidane is on the cusp of a very special managerial start to the career. Major props to him for guiding us to this point. Its consensus that the RM job is one of the toughest if not the toughest in Europe and he seems to be doing it with his trademark ease and grace. Long may it continue. We haven't won La Liga in a while and although winning the CL is the best feeling but there's always a nagging feeling in the back our minds that the scum from Catalonia have our trophy. We can put that trophy back where it belongs on Sunday. Here's hoping for Cibeles celebrations. HALA MADRID
I see what you did there. Hope we win tomorrow to not only seal the La Liga title, but also keep the momentum we have built up in winning against decent opposition, to use it as a springboard towards arriving at the CL final in a strong way. And yeah, needs correction on the date,
Seriously. Every save he makes seems to power him up like a cartoon character. Besides he owes us for saving that Cristiano penalty last year. He doesn't save that and we win the league.
Last La Liga match thread of the season! The team is in great shape i expect a win but i'm pretty nervous, an early goal would do be awesome.
I believe in Ramos and Ronaldo to see us across the line. And as always HALA ********ING MADRID AND ******** THE HATERS!
Loving the confidence lads. Don't want to sound premature but IF we win the league head over to the RM facebook page or the app to watch the post game celebrations and then the Cibeles party as well.
The team has shown their bottle in big games in recent years, and some players have made themselves greats. It doesn't get much bigger than the next two games. Hope they make it.
The team is such form. Unstoppable. Ronaldo is playing at another level. Amazing how somehow he still the most lethal force in futbol
Last hurdle. We've come to far too throw it away now. I'm certain we can get the result we need. Just get it done.
I hope the team will be concentrate . I did not like how we played against Sevilla and Celta. They scored goals and celebrated as if the game/season was over. Let's score several quick goals and fight, fight, fight until the final whistle.
I'm very nervous. I said after the Barca match we will run the table, and we have so far. But there is a high level of anxiety. Emotions will be high, on the pitch, in the stands, and in every place a Madridista is watching the game. Hope we finish this game early, but I'm preparing myself for an emotional roller coaster.
Everyone kept saying how Celta was the banana peel match, but Malaga currently has better form. They've won their last 4 at home, including beating Barca 2-0. Since their 4 match losing streak in early march, they've only lost 2 out of 10. There's absolutely no reason to think they don't want to spoil the party. Obviously our guys should be able to grind out the needed point, but I just don't expect this to be a cakewalk. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I saids it on the other thread. Isco's 1 million clause would actually backfire. Malaga wont slow down because of that money. They do not want to be viewed as the team who "throws" away the match for money. Their chairman, their board, their accounting department, etc won't come out and say to their players that they prefer the million than winning this meaningless game. That is unethical. Besides, the players are nit getting the money. "Hey, the money all goes into your pockets and please lose the match," their chairman can't say that. I believe that it is illegal. Instead, everyone from their neighbours to the press would ask them if they would throw the game. I am pretty sure that the pro-Barcelona people would taunt them all week about it. Malaga will try to prove that they are not "throwing" the match. Isco's clause is not good for us.
Andres of Beinsports suggesting Malaga will throw the game... Lol, the hate is strong with this network. Let's win a twist the knife in deeper.
