That's it!! Thanks Kat Here'sa link to a map. If you come down Cullen from 45, it's a left on Wheeler and the lot is on your left about 3/4 of the way down
The field on Wheeler would work, I suppose, but my first choice is Memorial. From what I can tell on Google Maps, they've got a larger field. I guess Wheeler would do for now, and we could move to Memorial when we have more members.
Memorial is best...you can play anywhere there. I just recommended UH cause it's less crowded and enclosed and smaller. Memorial is always packed
so thats it? the field at UH? don't think any of us have a problem with it. a date is coming tonight or tomorrow.
I only have one final this semester, and it's tomorrow morning at 8, so I'll be ready if you give me a time.
Saturday the 15th, at 2.00 on the field at UH. we'll kickaround, play some games till we get tired, then have our meeting inside somewhere and talk about our little group. scroll up for agenda items, feel free to suggest whatever you want. the whole thing about starting out as a group on a field reaffirms where our focus will be. we're here because we love the game and want to see it grow even more in the city. again, everyone's invited, even if you just want to play some soccer, you can leave after that.
ok, the main result of our meeting is plans to go out and do the street team thing (hanging flyers on walls), trying to get the public to think about the team during the offseason, on saturday december 29th. we want to hang hundreds of flyers with something catchy, the dates of concacaf champ's cup, and the team website listed on it. something like... ---------------------------------------- fear waibel (face sillouette) concacaf champions cup march?-apr? www.houstondynamo.com ---------------------------------- we have several ideas and will be putting them in photoshop, posting them here and printing them on orange paper. till then, any ideas for this? time and place? we'd love to get both el batallon and the texian army in on this....
Hey, sorry I couldn't be there. I've had a family emergency and completely forgot. Not sure how often you frequent the TA boards, but there's a get-together on that Saturday.
well, we need to come up with a day for this, we'd like to be able to split up into groups of say three and cover alot of area. is before or after the get together a good time?
Alright, I guess i'll go ahead and bump this: i am in serious debt, have to pay off around $3,000 to the "good" people of collin county, for their magic(? has to be something special) chairs. season tickets are deffinately out for me. my brother and friends seem to be out for an every game sort of thing, none of us have the money for it (i was actually planning on helping them with a little of it). however, we will make every game we can, i'll be working my pale butt off when it isn't game day. 80 hours community service may also hinder my ability to make it (especially if my hope of coaching a kids ymca basketball team comes to fruition), frankly we'd be lucky with 60% attendance. not a good number to be sure; but as some of you can attest to, whenever it is possible, we will bring it as hard as anyone. sadly, it seems that i'll have to wait till i gratuate and start working at home inside the loop (please, God, i can't live away from this team) to start committing more to this effort. hurts right in my chest, where my heart should be. but during this summer, let us know when and where some flag painting, song learning, general support stuff is going down and we'll do everything we can to make it. (to see my brother's artistic talent find the flag earlier in the thread.) anyway, we look forward to standing next to y'all and cheering on our boys every chance we get, can't wait to see what this edition of dynamo can pull off. siempre naranja, for houston, Josh
