Not really news, but he was named by Corriere dello Sport as a possible replacement (or backup to the replacement) for the departing Bernadesci. Wingers are apparently very important in the new manager, Pioli's, style. snip: OTHER POINTS - Apart from Karamoh, however, Sam Larsson, the left wing of Heerenven (24) is a quick and technical player in the Netherlands. From Primavera, the two wingers Joshua Perez (who under Sousa already debuted in Serie A), and Riccardo Sottil, will be closely watched. http://www.corrieredellosport.it/ne...na_nel_mirino_karamoh_e_larsson/?cookieAccept
He didn't make the 21 man roster for the preseason game against Trentino team. I'm not sure what to infer from that.
Can't Serie A teams have 23 players in a match day team? It probably means what it meant at the end of last season. He's not yet gonna make the match day teams. Maybe a loan? Serie B wouldn't be bad. I doubt he's gonna garner Serie A interest on loan.
I miscounted anyway. There were 22 on the roster for Fiorentina. At least according to Fiorentina.it. What's clear is he didn't play. I guess he might have been the 23rd man if they reported the lineup incorrectly. By the way, the Viola won 6-0. Hagi started and Diakhate, who made a strong push with the Primavera squad toward the end of last season was on the bench. I agree a sale or a loan may be in his best interest.
Yeah. I've been clamoring for this all year. It's what tons of young Italian talents have been done in their careers.
It could be argued that they lost their top two playmakers in Borja Valero (to Inter) and Josip Ilicic (to Atalanta) this summer. I am definitely interested to see how they're going to replace those two. Neither were direct competition for Perez but I'm interested to see if there's a system change or if they replace these two outright. I guess in theory if there's a system change it could open up the door for Perez.
Any news on this player's pre-season? Apparently, he's not getting playing time. Is he featuring in the squad?
I spent a long time this morning trying to find anything about his whereabouts, but there doesn't seem to be anything. It's somewhat worrying since a few academy/young players have been brought up and been earning time.
In comments on Bernardeschi's transfer I've seen some fans saying Fiorentina ownership is bleeding the club of assets before looking to sell. Hope it's not true, might be worth monitoring how they reinvest the transfer money.
Rumor from Liverpool is Fiorentina is interested in Markovic. Not that we even know Josh's whereabouts.
Fiorentina appears ready to sign Emre Mor from BvB. There's probably not a closer analogue in the world to Josh's position and style of play. Meanwhile, complete radio silence concerning Josh continues.
I thought Roma wanted him. The reports keeps changing every couple of hours on my feeds but if Fiorentina wants him then bad news for Josh.
As well as a couple of clubs in the Prem. But some decent sources are saying a deal with the Viola is close.
Maybe he should take a page out of Wright's book (what it's reported he'll do), and ask for a move to the 2nd division, only on a full transfer because he appears further from p.t. He's a creative mid/10, and not overly athletic, so I think he should try and hook up with a team that projects to be near the top of Serie B. Also improves his chances of doing the bouncy to be associated again with a Serie A club.
