The they hate him cuz he's successul thing is silly though. Some people are more likeable than others. I personally don't think either Messi or Ronaldo are very likeable. Ronaldo is petulant and has behaved childishly many times and Messi has the personality of a cactus. What I'll give Ronaldo is that he doesn't pretend to be a saint. He is who he is.
Cristiano is a narcissist. Constant need for attention, big ego, arrogant behavior. Some people like him because they are also narcissistic, some like him because they lack much in this area and would like like to be more like him. Hate him or like him he is a great footballer. I like him for what he's showing on the pitch and for what he offered to Real in all these years. When he will retire there will be a big gap to fill.

This man defies all the odds and silences haters again and again. How in the world is he leading Europe in goals in all competitions after the start of the season he had? I'm in awe.
Cristiano Ronaldo - 37 goals in 35 games Mohamed Salah - 36 goals in 40 games Harry Kane - 35 goals in 39 games Lionel Messi - 35 goals in 43 games Ciro Immobile - 34 goals in 36 games Edinson Cavani - 33 goals in 38 games Robert Lewandowski - 32 goals in 38 games Sergio Aguero - 30 goals in 36 games Neymar - 28 goals in 30 games
Marca just reposted an article from November 7th, when Ronaldo had only 1 goal scored to Messi's 11. As it stands right now, Messi has 25 and Ronaldo 22. Apparently the odd for Ronaldo to win Pichichi was 17.00, at the time... f*ck
Ridiculous. Look at the amount of games. Less than everybody. AND he is older than everybody on that list. INSANE
Anyone remember this? http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2017/11/07/5a01c66d22601d7c6e8b4628.html Unbelievable that he might actually do it
33yrs 41 days old Cristiano has now scored 155 goals in all competitions since he turned 30 years old. pic.twitter.com/cLc9OuuGvv— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) March 18, 2018
Ronaldo is just one of a kind. We might never see another with his hunger and drive to score goals. He's simply amazing
Thats true. On one hand it is unfortunate for both Ronaldo and Messi that were playing in the same time. In any other era they would have been the best by far. On the other hand, being in the same era is what pushed them to become better than the other and the best they can be. They wouldn't have been like that unless they had each other for competition.
I disagree on Ronaldo's behalf. He is totally self motivated like Jordan. He turns the slightest perceived slight to him and uses it as fuel to propel him towards new heights. If it wasn't Messi something else would drive his determination. He is just that once in a lifetime competitor that has an unyielding will to perfect his craft. His work ethic and commitment was long noted before he drew comparisons with Messi.
Yeah but the constant competition with messi clearly drives him more than anything else. He enjoys beating the little midget
