I don't think there's any controversy in saying that Messi is the better footballer. It's clear as day. Doesn't take anything away from Ronaldo. We are fortunate to witness both. Messi is on another level though.

 

Really easy to say that now when when ronaldo is on hes tail end of hes career. When ronaldo was in hes prime and messi i dont think messi was on another level at all. Infact messi clearly played in much better team than ronaldo when was in hes prime years.

I think Messi is more talented than CR.
Messi is probably more enjoyable to watch because even today, after so many games, he is unpredictable.

Ronaldo is by far a more complete athlete than Messi.
