Casemiro is 27, he doesn't need competition, he needs a backup.

Odd rumor, we've never been linked with him before and he's certainly not worth anything close to 100M. It looks to me like his agent is just to get an improved contract from him. Militao was signed to be that replacement he's talking about. Ramos will eventually have to be rotated and Varane is still young and the chances of him leaving are slim.

Interesting choice, I easily disagree re Modric though, competent on both sides of the ball as far as I am concerned, he’s slowed down a bit but I considered him extremely competent at defending, Luka ran a lot, worked hard, and won the ball back quite a bit, far far more than Eriksen IMO

I agree, DeBruyne is a good call, agreed about the injuries too though, the truth is they just aren’t that many CM’s out there that are doing what we demanded of both Toni and Luka, but we need to find at least one of them soon as Luka is already slowing down a bit, maybe Valverde will start scoring more,

Not completely sold on Ødegaard as yet, let’s see what his numbers are like at the end of the season and what he looks like throughout it on the pitch, as for Ceballos, I couldn’t have said it any better, what an apt description, reminds me of Granero who used to do the same whenever he got the ball , just turn around in a circle not going anywhere , a name I have seen mentioned here sometimes does it too, Roca of Espanyol, granted i haven’t watched him a lot.

Backup DM is the weak spot, for sure. A vet on loan would be great. Where does Bruno from Villarreal play now?

I don't know the player, but we need a quality CB solution sooner than later.

In addition to Militao or you don’t think Militao is good enough?

Skrinar is solid, but not spectacular. I would not spend anything over $45 million. I would compare him to Lindelof who I consider to be a pretty good defender.

Well there were strong rumors last year that Varane wanted out and that he only stayed because Zidane convinced him for 1 more year.

The only way that makes sense.

Read Serie A followers saying Vrij has been Inter's best defender. Skriniar having an average season apparently. And his agent seem desperate to start RM rumours publicly which probably means there's not much going on. Palacios agent and River president did the same thing to try and increase his value. Is his agent same as Biglia's?[emoji23]

Skrinar is if we're planning for the day Ramos calls time.

Varane said he's thinking of a new challenge in an interview. But ZZ insisted Varane will stay and convinced him. Not sure if it's for one year. We are under no obligation to sell unless we get a great offer. Guardian said Utd offered 100 MP in 2018 and Flo rejected. Will anyone offer that much next summer?

Varane really peaked early. Expected so much more out of him.

There are some rumors about his health. Had a couple injuries that who knows how he recovered from.

Varane is a great CB idk what you all are talking about.

he’s a multi time CL winner and a World Cup winner too. Doesn’t get enough credit.

Varane criticism has more to do with his poor performances rather than his accomplishments. Although lately the entire defense has been looking better so he deserves some credit there, but for a very long time he has been piss poor.

I think like every other player we have, Varane had a dip in form, he seems to be regaining his level , I’m happy with that

I'd be fine with Varane leaving if Militao can step up and we replace adequately. He peaked to early and while I don't doubt he'll continue to be a good CB, its been quite a while since we've seen his breakout form.

If he asks for higher wages i might let him go too and give Militao the spot.

But then again. Ramos is not getting any younger so might not be smart
