    Porto win: 67.0%

After allowing 3 goals (to make 11 allowed in 4 games), Eran Zahavi scored on a penalty kick for Maccabi Tel Aviv's first Group Stage goal in their 1:3 loss. Macacbi Tel Aviv was the last club to score and their -10 goal differential is the worst of the 32 clubs.

I'll be traveling during Maccabi Tel Aviv's game hosting Chelsea tomorrow at 2:45 P.M. USA Eastern. Here are the probabilities based on the Bet365 odds:

    Maccabi Tel Aviv win: 8.9%
    Draw: 19.5%
    Chelsea win: 71.7%

It adds up to 100.1% due to rounding.

Maccabi Tel Aviv allowed the first goal, got a straight red card, and it ended Maccabi Tel Aviv 0:4 Chelsea. Maccabi Tel Aviv has 0 points, 1 goal scored, 15 goals allowed, and ends at Dynamo Kiev.

Israel is 22nd in the country coefficients and could fall farther. The last time Israel finished a season worse than 22nd was after 2000-2001.

Maccabi Tel Aviv plays their last 2015-2016 Champions League game today at 2:45 P.M. USA Eastern at Dynamo Kiev. I will be away from home so I won't post the final result until hours later. The Bet365 odds result in these probabilities:

    Dynamo Kiev win: 83.2%
    Draw: 12.2%
    Maccabi Tel Aviv win: 4.6%

Israel fell to 23rd in the country coefficients and will be 26th at the start of 2016-2017. Denmark, which has Midtjylland still in the Europa League, is the only country that could pass Israel in 2015-2016.

Coefficient points are only relevant if you can break into the top 15 to snag a fifth European spot. Israel is so far away that this is like a pie in the sky type discussion.

The coefficients also affect what Europa League qualifying round clubs start in. Israel's Cup Winner started in Qualifying Round 3 in 2015-2016 and Israel's second place spot started in Qualifying Round 2 in 2015-2016. Both of these will start one round earlier in 2016-2017.

Midtjylland will play my favorite club, Manchester United, so Manchester United winning will be good for Israel's ranking.

Thanks for bringing this point up. What a bummer for Israel. It seems that the cut off for regaining the third qualifying round is 18th place and falling to 26th or less has the consequence of putting the cup winners (or 2nd place team when the league winners win the double, as Maccabi did last season) in the first qualifying round. So Denmark surpassing Israel wouldn't have any immediate consequence. It looks like if Midtjylland gets only one draw over two legs, Israel will remain above Denmark, but anything more than that and Israel will slip to 24th. As far as champions league, it appears that associations 16-46 enter in the second qualifying round, so that situation appears rather static.

But sorry, I still can't get behind Manchester United.

Oops, I mean two points over two legs, and Israel is still above them. Unless of course they qualify with a win or two draws and then achieve any other points in the subsequent round.

    @msilverstein47

When you post a link that is irrelevant to the "2015-2016" part of the topic title, can you put it in a new topic?
