    Congrats to Big Mac.

    Not a stellar year for US women in soccer, particularly with many WUSA honours going off-shore, but MacMillan has been consistent for the USWNT.

    An oft-overlooked player who deserves some recognition somewhere, somehow is Kristine Lilly. With her WUSA record assists and being the energizer-bunny of the USWNT, KL may have deserved it more.

    I agree, but I do not think that Kristine Lilly was even nominated this year. She did win it back in 1993.

    I bet she picked the TrailBlazer over the Impala. What a weird year for Shannon; she was great at the start of the year and benched during the Gold Cup--I hope she makes the World Cup team.
