I also.have a hard time understanding how Monchi and EDF seemingly turned fazio from a supposedly "good" defender to a bad one over the course or 1 year. We had one of the best defenses in serie A their first season in charge and managed to get to the CL semi finals.

 

Alisson and Manolas did a great job of minimizing his weaknesses

I remember the vast majority of people around here were pretty skeptical when we first acquired him as well. I have little issues with him as a depth CB at this stage of his career but not more than that.

At least lazzari is off. Late 2-2 draw about the best we can get out of this now.

 

The guy has a lot of potential but he looks lazy, careless and unfocused. I thought maybe after a game or two he can gather his shit and play. Seems like it won't happen anytime soon.
