I would love to know the official roster for the Gold Cup : It will be professor Juan Carlos Osorio's first Gold Cupever . It will be a great opportunity for him to beat Bruce Arena and clear his name: One thing is clear, NO MAS for Raffa Marquez. Mexico already qualified for the Confederation Cup, I dont know if they will take this cup serious or as an opportunity to show new talents.
Too early to release it. And Rafa's been great lately, he deserves to be on this one (if not confeds).
If México loses the Gold Cup, will Juan Carlos Osorio gets fired? I think this will be a testing ground for him. They've been trying to fire him, but since the Chile's disaster, they've been doing much better as a team ever since.
Juan Carlos Osorio is a good coach; he is prepared and well informed. Nevertheless, the Mexican media is brutal on coaches. When they lose 2 games in a row, its like we want you out. We will see.
Why are people so against Rafa being on the national team, no other player young or old has been able to take that torch. Let's not put someone there who's legs shake wearing the green jersey..
How so? Because they beat the US?. They didn't particularly play well. And games like today's sure don't help any.
Give some younger guy a chance...specially in moleros. Rafa has nothing to prove and definitely not needed for moleros. The other side of it is he is old and slower which could be a liability in important games.
No need for him to play moleros however in major tournaments or qualifiers he's been an asset for years. Somehow he comes through with something crucial most of the time, for years we've been saying he's old and slow and for years he has proven us wrong. All I'm saying is if a young guy showed he could do the job then by all means no more Rafa, but no one has stepped up and he continues to be effective.
There is enough talent on the B team to be competitive. I don't see Osorio doing a call up as bad as the 2013 Gold Cup under Chepo.
Are there any naturalized players worthy of a call up? Guys like Chaco & Alvarez are past their prime. If we're gonna call up naturalized players it's gotta be guys that can be beneficial in a long run
