Muriel didn't score but Sevilla did. That is not good for him being benched right now.

Jesus Sevilla got owned by Celta Vigo 4-0. 2 errors and an own goal. Muriel wasn't even on the bench. Did anyone see what happened in this game?

To be fair he did take Sevilla to the Quarters of the Champions League. Which is the furthest they have ever gone in their history.

 

Muriel was a pain in their arse last time they played Barca.
Hopefully he can score again on them.

 

Muriel can use this match as an important warm up for the world cup. Players of this quality don't come around that often for him to face. So this can really give him more experience.

Montella mentioned not long ago that Muriel has an injury on his right foot. Hopefully Muriel can be at 100 percent soon.

FINALLY. This is the FIRST time in the entire season Muriel AND Ben Yedder are starting together. Muriel on LW

 

Reacted well enough leading to the second goal. But didn't get an assist since the guy was smart enough to pass it after his first shot failed. I am actually happy that Muriel is showing some maturity and passing the ball.

 

Made some beautiful plays and created opportunities but missed some chances to score. I remember him being so much more poised in front of goal when he was young wtf happened (sky was the limit for him)

Como hacen dos entrenadores para ni siquiera intentar poner juntos a sus dos hombres mas peligrosos..........Es lo que siempre se habia dicho aqui.

Y sorprende que el Sevilla no haya utilizado más ese Muriel - Ben Yedder tan complementario a lo largo de la temporada. Muy bien Caparrós con ese giro de volante mandando al Mudo a izquierda y formando esa doble punta que se ha impuesto a los centrales blancos.

Y tuvo que ser el tercer técnico de la temporada, Caparrós, el que finalmente ejecutó lo que todos veíamos desde afuera: Muriel no es un nueve puro. Tenía que compartir cancha con Ben Yedder.

Creo que no era muy dificil ver que un delantero al lado de Muriel iba a darnos mucho mas en ataque que cualquiera jugando solo. Muriel no la mete pero se mueve de lujo y Ben Yedder u otro lo aprovechan a la perfeccion.
