I expect that with decent weather we can get to 7,000 attendance vs. St. Louis. Fans are eating up merchandise faster than they can stock it.

Wouldn't it be great if the Coopers get to the point where they wrap around home plate? Or start sitting on the second level? That would allow for sweet tifo and goal celebrations, and would look a lot better on Youtube broadcasts. By the way, are there any plans to get new announcers for the games? I can't stand watching the broadcasts because of those two

I would like for some help from you guys in relation to a project that I am doing. I am using the FIFA 10 PC game to create the teams of MLS, NASL, USL and some NPSL teams. Since you guys know the players can you rate the players for this team? Also if you know who the captain of the team is that would be helpful as well. Please keep in mind that ratings for MLS players are between 60s and 70s and NASL players from MLS are between 50s and 60s. So USL players should be between 40s and 50s. Here is the team I need help from you guys to rate:

In second with a game in hand. Hopefully we can get Abend back shortly to help with depth. O'Conner is going to be a hot name before we know it. Absolutely don't want to lose him but have to think he would be on a short list for several MLS teams, let alone in Europe.

I will give you tiers of the team:

    Gold-Fondy, Burke, Dacres (speed), Goodwin

    Silver- Rasmussen, Shanosky, Guzman,
    Morad, Montano, Quinn, Adams

Bronze-the rest. Abend can't really rate due to injury but suspect silver.

    Anyone have a differing opinion?

This will likely help them get the 9k USL stadium ... and anyone that pays for that is crazy not to design it for expansion (for MLS or otherwise). There will be some disappointed teams that don't get into MLS at some point, but hopefully they'll have some decent stadiums sized approprate for USl and their market ... and for the future, who knows.

Louisville, KY (November 11, 2015) — Louisville City FC announced today that the club’s General Manager, Amanda Duffy, has been promoted to President. Under the leadership of Duffy, who is now the only female president in the United Soccer League, Louisville City FC thrived on and off the field in it’s first year of existence.
“Amanda has demonstrated that she is an incredible resource to our ownership and organization,” Louisville City FC principal owner Wayne Estopinal said. “Her knowledge of the league and the many operational facets have clearly helped Louisville City to have a great start. We are pleased to announce this much deserved promotion.”
The North Carolina native and East Carolina alum was named the General Manager in December of 2014. Louisville City finished the 2015 season with a second place finish in league play, and second place in attendance in the USL. With Duffy leading the charge, the first year club was immediately able to establish itself as a prominent pro sports franchise in the city of Louisville.
“The success we experienced in our first season generated a lot of opportunities for Louisville City and everyone involved,” Duffy said. “I look forward to working more closely with our ownership and leading our front office team as we look to become the unparalleled standard-bearer in USL and position the club for the next level of professional soccer in the United States.”
Amanda Duffy and Louisville City FC will kickoff the second season of professional soccer in Louisville in March. Season tickets are available and can be purchased at LouisvilleCityFC.com/2016tickets.

Goodwin relished the chance to be a leader for the side as he appeared in all but one of the team’s games in its inaugural season.
“I’ve always enjoyed taking over a bit more of a leadership role, and I tried to do that even when I was younger, but as a veteran and at my position it comes a bit more naturally. You kind of have that mutual respect from some of the younger guys,” Goodwin said. “As a team, we had a fairly young team, so even guys like myself who are only 25 years old are some of the veterans on the team. It’s a great position to be in, and the coaching staff really backed us up there and helped.”

“Everything has been very preliminary,” added Amanda Duffy, Louisville City’s president, “whether it’s with Major League Soccer executives or other MLS owners who have helped us create that path and what it’s going to take for us to get to the MLS level. We understand where that focus needs to be and the critical components to taking it to the next level.
“We still maintain a great relationship with Orlando City, even without the affiliation, and we have relationships with owners in USL and MLS owners that can help us with our plan, with our path and give us the best advice to get to where we want to be.”
In order to make that step, Louisville City knows the top priority is securing a stadium project.

To me ... the goal for clubs like Louisville (and even Sacramento until they get an MLS expansion) is to do something similar to San Antonio. Build at 10-15k stadium that has room to expand ... even if you're left at the alter, you hope to still use that 10-15k stadium as a lower level team with success and provide a quality atmosphere along with some quality soccer for your fans.

    http://louisvillecityfc.com/loucity-adds-to-backline-with-former-mls-defender-ben-newnam/

In December, Louisville City FC announced most of the Eastern Conference finalist’s backline would return after a 2015 season with the second best goal differential in the league, at plus-21. Tuesday, the club announced it bolstered its defense with the signing of former Colorado Rapids defender Ben Newnam.
“I am very excited to be joining Louisville City,” Newnam said. “It is an honor to work with a team that is led by coach (James) O’Connor and his outstanding staff. The club’s aspirations fit with mine and I am enthusiastic about the tremendous support the team gets from its fans.”

Apparently he did until the 2015 season, just saying. Now that Louisville City has cornered the retired military euro associated football fan demographics, onwards to creating a fan base that will make MLS consider Louisville a "must have" market.

Currently watching a feed of the LFC NYRB match and noticed the great Bob Valvano calling the game. I never knew he was broadcasting soccer. Is he a regular for LFC matches? I've been a big fan of his for years and was sad when he was no longer on ESPN radio.

Do you guys think being in a baseball stadium is limiting your attendance?
