No they don't, but they have great influence.

Of course, but I'm not counting titles as Florentino's, comparing him with other presidents or evaluating his tenure based on their number.

Flo still looks very healthy at 70. Travels to everywhere. Might go on for couple more terms.

How so? Because he's stepping more in the background?

He can surely continue for another term, meanwhile in the process mentor someone to take over once he leaves

Don't want another Calderon era !

Yeah hopefully he can delegate, but I'm sure its still an extremely demanding and stressful job and at that age it might not be the healthiest choice.

Maybe so, age hasn't affected his performance though.

Perez is running the ACS group, a company which brings in revenue of 6BE per annum. I can't see an indication why he's unfit to run Real Madrid, an institution which brings in 600ME of revenue in the same timeframe.

I'm not saying he's unfit to run Real Madrid, I'm saying it might be becoming a bit too big of a burden for the old man.

You're right. He's 70 now, I'm surprised he's even barely able to function day to day. Let's sort him out a Zimmer frame, a blanket and a carer to help him in and about the bath.

Good point, although I'm not sure that's exactly the comparison we're looking for.

I don't expect a resolution to the Ronaldo issue in the interview.

Maybe he can announce our targets? Unlikely.

Congrats to Floro on being reelected. It's easy to see why he ran unopposed.

I'd say the real reason is no socio had the €150M in collateral sitting in the bank. But yes he would have defeated any challenger this time around anyways. Congrats!!

Florentino: "I have not talked to Cristiano so I can't say anything." Mentions that he heard about what's going on in the press, but hasn't heard from Cristiano who is now focused on the tournament.

"Cristiano has the same people around him, and the same economical structure, that when he was in England; where they had no problems".

"I'm upset over the way the media has treated Cristiano. They have not taken into account that one is innocent until proven otherwise".
