So Democrats running on repealing the full Trump tax cut should be easy, right?

Harris has said that she would, props to her.

Actually, most white-collar suburbanites did get a nice tax cut, so what was there to complain about? And with a booming economy and tight labor market they also got raises and sweet bonuses. The only people complaining were high income earners in liberal, high taxes states who lost their very generous SALT deductions.

Please explain the thought process that led to this response. Because well actually, there’s no relationship between this and what John wrote.

Dentists do candy buybacks nowadays. I might've sold the junk at the bottom of the pillowcase like MaryJanes, Dum Dums and Tootsie Rolls. But the good stuff they never would've gotten their hands on.

Good tweet, but truth is that late Boomers plus the start of the next gen killed the Power Lunch, starting about 1990.

Am also not quite sure where this came from but since you asked ... I don't like repeals. That's Trump/Republican shit -- elect me so that I can troll the other side by destroying their work. But sure, the tax code could be improved. If it's a blue wave, so that something can get passed, then let's craft a fresh bill to improve it.

The lower income brackets got shit of a tax break, it is insulting that they got pennies to the dollar compared to what rich people got.

Therefore, it should be an easy sell for democrats to tell voters that they will repeal the full Trump tax cut, because, voters will not be upset losing out on those pennies they got.

Jeez, if I made that kind of scratch (for any of those 4 groups) I would look a lot happier than they do.

The stressed out single mom who makes only $260k, and the poor, young single woman, who makes $30,000 less! And the retired empty-nesters, how do they even get by on $180,000. And finally, lets set up a go fund me page for those poor saps who have to struggle on $650,000...

That "article" is from 2009 as Obama was setting up the ACA that would raise the income tax on top earners. But I really think we are ought to have a Monopoly Man emoji collection that we can send to the one-percenters that cry murder! when anyone talks about making them pay 1% more on an income of multiple times that of the average American.

Not quite 4% as promised, but not bad at 2-2.5%

Obama’s first term would look much better if he weren’t saddled with Bush’s mess for 6-12 months.

Yeah what sticks out most to me from that chart is the trajectory that occurred after the two Bushes. It looks more like Trump continues to reap the benefits of his predecessor.

Trump's #s would be better if his own trade policies weren't acting as a governor on GPD growth, but it is amusing to watch the reactions to his economy. Remember election night when Krugman was as saying "When will the economy recover? NEVER!". Now we have Democrats here and else where praying for a recession prior to election day.

If you look at per year GDP growth you will see all of Carter's GDP growth was front loaded and GDP was declining every year. By Dave's pretzel logic Reagan's GDP growth would have been off the charts if you could ignore the mess JC left him. Same with Slick Willy, by the time Clinton took office the recession under Bush 1 was already over and the economy was expanding again.
