what a dang match tonight guys! I was a bit gutted to see Bobby not starting but that winning goal takes that feeling right away. Bobby is heating up. Mane been hot. We just need Salah to come on and our front 3 are back in motion. I've been at work so I havent gotten to see any of the game but I can't wait to see these highlights.

We nearly threw it away after Bossing them for much of the second half because of Studge's profligacy and just not linking up well with Mane/Salah as Bobby would.

And What A Difference Bobby made.

The kind of win over that kind of Opponent which sends the confidence soaring to levels unprecedented and WHAT A START TO THE CL THIS SEASON!!!!!:cool:

Gini was Different Class Again(Telepathic understanding with VVD) and seeing our Midfield of last Season busting their balls off to keep Keita and Fab off the pitch can only bode well for the Future of this Team.

Extremely Proud and I Wonder how Klopp keeps picking himself up after every Final Defeat hes suffered to always come back stronger and defy the Odds...For that Man i really want us to Win the Title/CL or Both.

    YNWA.

from the bbc - couldn't have said it better myself:

Liverpool could have been forgiven for believing fate was against them when Mbappe made the most of his first serious opportunity to drill a powerful finish low past Alisson in front of The Kop with seven minutes left to draw the visitors level.

Klopp's team had barely been troubled by PSG's star-studded attacking line-up and, if anything, looked more likely to add to their tally than concede.

It was to their credit, and an illustration of the talent and spirit at Klopp's disposal, that Liverpool gathered their strength for one last push that delivered Firmino's winner.

Klopp does not just have an array of attacking forces, he has fiercely-driven competitors such as the outstanding James Milner and Andrew Robertson to set the tone and the example for others to follow.

Liverpool proved once more that they will pose a huge threat in this competition because they are capable of scoring goals at any time from any angle from a variety of players - it is a weapon that will make them serious contenders if they can make their way into the knockout phase, as they proved last season.

And this opening victory against the side likely to be their main challengers for top spot in Group C, is the perfect opening.

Liverpool demonstrated their pedigree and danger when reaching last season's Champions League final. This result against another team with designs on the trophy is an early warning sign for the current campaign.

    That was fun, huh?

Everyone played just so well, it's hard to fault anyone for any minor mistakes. Still, Salah needs to calm down and just play his game. He's trying too hard to replicate the magic of last season.

How good was Milner? Holy shit.

PSG deserved nothing from this game. For all their talking, Mmbop and Ney didn't do much all game. Still, we let them hang around and almost paid for it. Bobby to the rescue. What a hit.

Napoli and Belgrade ended 0-0. Good result for us.

holy shit - terrible call on the Salah disallowed goal.....

and it's been stated - the 2nd goal for PSG was just a bad play on our part - Salah, then not taking the ball from Neymar before it got to Mbappe.

Fun match to watch, beginning to end. Never doubted we'd get a result, even after their equalizer. For better or worse, I've got the belief. Millie and Gini for MotM, they both bossed it. And Bobby One Eye, what can you say. Happy days.

Studge got the ball and then his foot rolled off it into their keeper's balls. Unfortunate all around.

He got hit with a bottle apparently

Edit – apparently it was more of a relief type situation there’s a shot right before that of him celebrating and then he slams the bottle down apparently

    What. A. Game.

Excellent performances all over the pitch. The midfield 3 were all oustanding. It was Milner who won the ball off Mbappe preventing a PSG counter and setting up the winner. Gini was superb. Hendo was always in the right spot winning the ball back.

Our young fullbacks always rise to the occasion. Robbo and Trent were constantly supporting the attack without every getting beaten one on one by Mbappe and Neymar. It’s brilliant to see us defend with such confidence while still playing attacking football. Virgil and Gomez are becoming one of the best pairings in Europe.

Great to see Sturridge score. That’s what he does. Bobby Firmino’s winner was brilliant. Unbelievable composure.

This is the type of result that makes us believe we can win anything and everything.

Napoli dropping points to Red Star is a huge result. We are in an amazing position in this group. If we win our next game away to Napoli, we are basically through to the final 16.

Bobby wasn't happy with a normal goal or a no-look goal. He had to do a 1-eyed goal :D.

Tonight’s match was one of like 5 huge matches we have in the next few weeks. For PSG this match was their only big match. They have already won their league, and their entire season boils down to their performance in the Champions League. They rested Neymar and Mbappe in the league, after the French league did them a favor by scheduling the match on a Friday.

This match was THE match for PSG. How frustrating it must to be outclassed by a better team. Now they can go back to playing meaningless games against weak opposition in their boring league and wait for their next match in the Champions League.

The Champions League is back at Anfield. Other than a brief spell in the first half Liverpool bossed PSG. They obviously like to play with a slow build up keeping possession until they can spring Naymor or Wave for a yellow card Cavani. When they had that time they were very good. Most of the time they were harassed off the ball and out of their minds. It's a tribute to their defense that they held us off for so long.
It was a full team effort today Milner, Gini, Hendo bossed the midfield. The back four were outstanding in defense and attack. Then our 3 upfront had their defense in fits. Why they thought they could ignore Trent is a mystery. Time and again he owned that wing.
Would have liked to see more goals from us. But "They will come"

    Great start to the campaign.

Pathetic. I hope they crash and burn and Napoli goes through.

Neymar does not drop back to defend, so Klopp instructed the team to exploit the gap. We should have gotten something out of it. Trent's final balls are improving, soon he will be getting assists like Robbo.

Great game and good performances all round.

Cavani blatantly offside for their first goal so would have been a travesty if they had got a draw.

Tough stretch of matches. Two wins so far.

90% of the time that ball doesn't ricochet perfectly back to PSG and we're talking about how great his timing is stopping neymar's flow.
    Simply unlucky.

You've got to be kidding me. Sturridge has played very few minutes this season comes in and scores a goal should have had an assist and because he missed one opportunity for a goal you're saying we could have done better without him? He was certainly more effective than Salah

He was all over the ball. Take him out of the picture and the defence deals with it..
