Liverpool are expected to become the first club in the world to report an annual net profit of more than €100 million (£88.3m), according to new estimates. The record finances come largely thanks to a Champions League final spot worth €81.3m (£71.7m) and the sale of Philippe Coutinho in January 2018 to Barcelona, valued by some experts at €130m (£115m). https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...ted-become-first-club-100m-annual-net-profit/
I have an idea..... Why don't we try spending a little of that money to bolster up some of our thin spots in the team. It's nice to tell the world how rich we are but not when we're struggling to put a fit winning team on the pitch.
I agree but to be fair the midfield and back line's been hit with a rash of injuries all at once. With Clyne out on loan and Milner sitting out after the red, that exacerbates the problem yet opens the door for Rafa Camacho. It's fair to suggest Klopp should have kept Clyne as depth even as he wanted more minutes, or put a recall clause when loaning him, but hindsight's 20/20 as they say. All considering, I'd suggest our depth is stronger this season than in past years, even a year ago.
