As with everything, beside the hard work there is also the coincidental - the renegotiated SKY deal from two years ago is a huge inflation in revenue. Add this to the Coutinho money, the CL consecutive monies and the Final run and the extra shirt sales that and Salah are probably generating... And then add the large extra revenues from the 10,000 extra seats and th ecorporate boxes in the main stand............
Yes, the stars did align for us to a degree; but primarily the Main Stand and hiring Klopp were the foundation that allowed them to take advantage of the other financial winds that were blowing. Its pretty well acknowledged that LFC now has one of, if not the most, intelligent, well run football operations.
Oh how far the club has come from the dark days of H&G when administration was close. Liverpool accounts for year ending May 2018: £125m profit (£106m after tax), £190m invested in Jurgen Klopp’s squad. Club-wide wage bill £263m. Debt: £100m owed to FSG over Main Stand loan (£10m paid off) with £56m external debt.Turnover £455m - (Paul Joyce)

this would be great - kit deal with Nike - if it can get done. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/live...would-eclipse-man-united-kit-earnings-sources
Although Nike typically uses cut and paste for all its kits, a Nike deal would be great for the club from infiltration of the US market perspective. I'm always a bit annoyed to see Chelsea and City merch whenever I go in to Dick's and there isn't a hint of LFC gear anywhere.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s north of 800m if they include naming rights for the new Anny Road stand. Either way, this deal should pretty much ensure the new stand gets built as soon as the new training ground is done.
Interesting we haven’t seen any leaks of the new kit yet. When do they release it? Don’t they usually wear in the last game? I wonder if the new will kick in a year early.
I've always wanted Nike LFC merch... but for me they either absolutely kill it when they go more simple and traditional, or they completely drop the ball by trying to think outside the box and get real creative. United for instance have had some great classic looking Nike kits, but then a bunch of weird variations... remember that dark blue tartan number? Or the flying V design? Awful. I mean, frankly this isn't much different than LFC now... lately tend to have nice home kits, gamble on the away kit and horrible 3rd. But either way, Nike is my jam so I'm hopeful it gets over the line. Brazil's Copa kit is something I would like to see LFC wearing in red -- clean, nice subtle texture on it, classic look with nice highlights and a highlighted collar. That kind of thing would guarantee me spending money. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/19/20-Kits/brazil-2019-20-nike-away-kit.html
Along with Barca, an LFC deal with Nike is going to be their second largest club deal, so you'd think they would put a bit of effort into making ours unique.
Maybe... but even with Barca they really stick to the formula at times, and when they stray with say finer stripes or hoops or solid color on each side or whatever they always come back to a real clean classical look, at some point. I'm just saying I'm looking forward to Nike's take on the classic LFC kit -- because I like Nike and I like LFC's classic look -- and for me it makes sense that would be something they lead with, assuming this all goes through. The LFC-version of the 2011 Barca kit, or the Celtic commemorative kit, that's what I'd be expecting from Nike's first LFC kit.
