yes but thats footy those mls fans have already adopted the culture including the group mentality. I wouldnt be surprised over the past 20 years, if many an MLS fan has become more socialistic in their views due to the sport
Yeah we have supporters groups and I belong to two. I stand with one and party with the other. We all travel by bus to Philly, and the two NY teams. These distances are close to England. About two hours to Philly and four to NYC. As one would say in England we bring a lot of tins on the bus and sing all the way. And when we win we sing on the way back But I pay $20 a game and $10 to park (and tailgate) per game as a season ticket holder. I stand in an all singing and standing section. But the scale is different. We have about 2,500 standing supporters. Not 15000. Of course the play isn't the same level either. It's a good standard of football but our highest paid player is on about £7000 a week. Kids in the U21s at Liverpool can make much more. We have squad players that make £400 a week. And they play sometimes. So it's truly apples and kumquats. Now they are gonna build a new stadium for us and they are looking to go up $10-15 a game for supporters. Scousers might say that's still 20 quid a game. But think about the difference in the standard of play. I think we may need to walkout too when that comes. Any way all sport is a bit different. I fell for football and Liverpool and DCU because the game never stops, my friends and I and my son can stand and sing for 90 minutes and argue about it before and after. I only get to do that live about 10 times for Liverpool but it's the same. Every week though we eat and drink and sing (really right along with the TV) in our official supporters club pubs. YNWA
The Dortmund fans are really mad when BVB is playing in the cup final. 40-50 k of fans travel 500 km to Berlin. 20k watch in the stadium, 20k in an open air place with a big screen which the club rents and the rest charges thesports bars.
Lol, you think the Congress has the power? How about big business, CIA and NSA. The First pay your politicians, the others knows every skeleton in their cupboards or placed them there.
If you haven't read the Jim Boardman piece for the Daily Mirror from Thursday, you should. It is a very insightful analysis of why we shouldn''t get too excited just yet about the letter from FSG. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpools-77-ticket-climbdown-not-7351146
Good read but astonishing that there will still be price increases during a "freeze". As with the red sox, they are VERY good at managing PR disasters. I will say I disagree with Jim on the new seat views being awful. Yes they aren't great but at Fenway there are also support beams in front of some seats blocking home plate, so it's not unheard of. I would have to imagine the architects put them where they are for a reason. If you said I had a ticket to the match and that was it, I'd take it and either stand elsewhere or move so I could see the nearside goal. Not the end of the world to me.
Ok there is a politics forum on BS. I get enough of jejune political analysis on my Twitter and Facebook feeds. I really don't have the energy to put up with it here too. Read the Constitution. Such large scale, transformative, economic action would, inevitably, involve all three branches of the Federal Government

That's why Bernie isn't really in it to get elected. He's in there trying to start a process of real thought. Long long long overdue in the US..... And he's managed it to an extent. Whether or not it stays alive is the question
ain't in nice that somebody can convince thousands of people to plonk down money so that an overdue conversation can get started. now that's sincerity at its most compelling.
