Wednesday, November 28, 2018 Game: P$G v. Liverpool Location: Parc de Princes Competition: Champions League - Group Stage - Match Day 5 Time: 3p E / 2p C / 1p M / 12p P TV: B/R Streaming or Univision (Yes you read that right - the marquee matchup of the round is streaming only - ********ers, Edit - Univision as well. Still greedy F'ers)
Why show us when they can show the great Tottenham attempt to stave off elimination for another matchday? Univision it is...
I dont mind paying for the $2.50 streaming thing, my gripe about games has always been I pirate because there isnt a reasonable/well priced option that could be an alternative. The B/R streaming service works for me
Quite the world traveler, aren't you Zaq? Park City was a hoping place at the start of the 80s. At 7,000 ft base some great hiking, fishing, camping. The condo we bought was the Raquet Club, I played tennis all year. Skiing was the best. 3 ski areas within minutes. Alta and Snowbird in the next valley. I kept my skis and boots in my car and just took a couple of runs when I felt like. We built a spec house on an Arnie Palmer golf course. With Armie as a next door neighbour when he played. Best best of all. No Mormon Church. That came as we left five years later. Yeah, tough time in Utah.
My son is in Utah (Sandy) going to grad school...we visited him there over Thanksgiving...the valley is growing like stink weed... Would have loved to experience the area in the 70’s/early 80’s...
Sunday, December 2, 2018 Game: Liverpool v. Everton Location: Anfield Competition: Premier League - Match Day 14 Time: 11:15a E / 10:15a C / 9:15a M / 8:15a P TV: NBCSN
We had friends in Sandy at that time. Sandy was the new burp back then the southernmost reaches of SLC. Lots of open spaces for off road motorbike riding. Little Sahara was a great sand dune ride. I can only imagine how it's grown now. What was fun was playing footy in Park. City. All the oppo was from the valley 4,000 ft lower. The score at half time didn't matter most teams were gassed by then.
Wednesday, December 5, 2018 Game: Burnley v. Liverpool Location: Turf Moor Competition: Premier League - Match Day 15 Time: 2:45p E / 1:45p C / 12:45p M / 11:45a P TV: NBC GOLD
I've paid for it two years in a row, and watched some good matches on it. It grates on me, of course, but there are worse things. Burnley are reeling right now. Take it to them and for the love of goodness, get an early goal.
Does anyone use spectrum for TV and phone and wadda ya think? I'm curious. They're pushing it around here. But I'm getting mixed, actually poor reviews on line. After 20+ years with directv, AT&T have taken over, they don't seem to give a shit and customer service is "take it or leave" We're planning on leaving.
It's really going to depend on the infrastructure where you are. I've used them for the last 12ish years (for internet mostly) and been mostly very happy. However, this past year their service has been a bit spotty. Not sure if that's just down to my location and the existing lines their using or if it's them. Not the end of the world stuff but annoying, especially since I do most TV over stream these days.
I used it a couple of years back. You could buy it by the month. Then suspend it when we didn't have a game.
Most most of the complaints seem to be with the local installation companies. Saying that once you're hooked in, your on your own.
We have Spectrum. Their local "office" is half a mile away, so I can run down there and avoid the half hour wait on the phone if there's a problem. We have bundled internet, landline and internet. It's OK. We had Frontier and changed when they cut service for about 10 days.
In our small town the local office isn't far away either. I plan on chatting to their rep today. They claim the fastest streaming time. How does that work for you. We dumped our land line a while back and use the cell for almost everything. Our cellphones are ancient so well probably get a couple of new ones.
