You're forgetting the goals we've scored that were wrongly given offside that cost us. It'll all even out again. It'll just cause more delays.
Still impressed beyond belief by this Liverpool team regardless of today. We must win the CL however to cap this season.
Game over 2-0. 97 points, Salah and Mane share the Golden Boot, Allison wins the Golden Glove and Trent sets a new record for assist by a defender. Oh VVD wins the PL player of the year...and there's still the the matter of big ears.
Congrats to City. They are an extraordinary team. They have won 14 games in a row to close out the season. Our boys should be super proud as well. I’ve dreaded the possibility of today for weeks. To finish on 97 points and not be Champions is devastating. However, Tuesday night has changed everything. Our season is not over. We are going to Madrid. We can still be Champions of Europe. We shall not be moved. YNWA.
So proud of this team, even if they came up just short. One loss, the third-highest points total in Premier League history. In many games they didn't seem to be playing all that well and yet still came away with a result. In other games they were just breathtaking to watch. Finishing second always hurts, and inevitably there will be moments we will look back on and think, "If only." But this team held its head up high and was never afraid. And of course there's one more chance for glory.
What a magnificent season. Chelsea and Manure's scum fans can laugh it up all they want but they were 25 and 31 points behind us (respectively). They are both in the position we were years ago just hoping their biggest (most relevant) rivals don't win the title. In the end, the 2017-2019 Man City team will go down as the greatest ever (in the prem) and we held them down to the last day. They are a plastic club created by oil money, who were in the Championship as recently as 2002. We've net spent 4 times less than they have. Insane. One thing rings true for this disappointment (and the one in 2008-09) is that DRAWS WILL KILL YOU.
lol we did amazing ******** pep lol leicester won the title with 81 points and 23 wins we would ********in munson that team, and virtually every united title winning team too
Congrats to City. Despite our amazing season we cant blame anyone for this result. Liverpool had their time in the driver seat mid season and a few fluff ups and it went back to City. Not to mention they did not compete well hosting City with a 0-0 draw. While I am greatly wishing Liverpool brought in the title I want it much more under the knowledge we were unquestionably the best. That being said the individual accolades and the team overall was just a frustrating joy to watch. Here is to going to the CL final. I will be gutted if they let Spurs rob them of some justification of their phenomenal season.
Yeah, but we shouldn't have been at that point. Most were games won...Then we lost the plot and had to scramble back.
Well done Liverpool. It wasn't meant to be but we gave it a right good go. Congratulations to Man City, oil money or not, it's been a worthy champion. There will be time to reflect on this yet so near season. Now, recover from the last 5 days' exertions and be ready for the Champions League final.
Congratulating City? Fukk that. If the FFP rules were worth more than a flea's fart they wouldn't even be playing football. As for us ... Great team. Great manager. Great owners. Great fans. The future is blindingly bright. And it'll take the next big step when we hand Spurs their collective ass on June 1st.
Judging by our point total, this is the best LFC season/team in our history. If it wasn't for City's record number of PL wins in a row, we'd be PL Champions. The team has nothing to be ashamed about and can hold their head up high. Plus we go for #6 Big Ears. This is the greatest season I've ever seen in my last 16 years as a fan. It can only get better.
